I was describing me you old knacker. I've not got enough time to start to go through all your failings
I know you were you dribbling old fool.Anyway, it's 50/50 as too who is the most confused now.
Ps
Have you got that knee blanket and slipper set I sent you from the Saga magazine?
So Snett monday 18th - that was seriously wet! My second wet track day now, although this year the 4 track days Ive done have all at some point spitted, rained a bit or been damp then dried
It did start to dry on the last 2 sessions but it rained so hard pretty much all morning that there were those running streams going through the pits
I now have photographic proof that you can get your knee down, in the wet, bolt upright And Im 5ft 11in so I dont have long legs!
By around 3pm it had stopped raining, track was wet everywhere still but it started catching people out. The one below is still wet but people started to push and there were quite a few red flags unfortunately
I switched to the V02's on my last outing trying to avoid any damp patches especially under the bridge which was still shiny wet
Now time to get the old girl ready for Spain!!

I know. The really sensible thing would be to get a 2016 ZX10R like you. But I kinda fancy a change. Had two ZX10R's for the past 3 years so even though the new 10R is the equivalent of the R1 or beemer, It just doesn't appeal.
Mine was a toss up between a newer ZX10R, or a newish R1 or building a GSXR from scratch as there weren't any pre built race bikes for sale when I was looking.I was pretty set on getting an 2016 R1 race bike, but then my current 16 ZX10R came up and I knew the history of it and the guy I bought it from, so knew it was all good bar a few bits and bobs I had to do
I still have an R1 itch though....

How much better are the electronics on the 16 compared to 11 bike? That's what I really liked about the 15-17 s1000rr and R1
Night and day better. The traction control on my 14 bike just cuts the spark, so you'll be having a little slide and suddenly the engine cuts completely for a second and makes you nearly crash.
The 16 bike will let you slide it around without intervening unless it starts going really wrong, and then intervenes more gently.
Auto blipper is really good too. I didn't think I'd want it as I quite like using the clutch going down the box, but now i have it, I love it

For the Euro trackdayers, what's a good track for March-ish next year? A few of us from work are thinking about booking something up to get a few days in. There's not much advertised just now but interested in knowing what to look for.
We've done a 'few' track days (3 or 4) and generally running high novice/low inter pace.

Brilliant day at brands hatch today. The weather was great, no red flags in my group, spot on.
Had a session with an instructor, said my riding was generally very good, need to hang off a bit more (which I thought I was doing but evidently not) and adjust my line going into surtees. Ready to move up to inters which I am happy with as it was only my second track day.
Went with my old man, he's 63 and hasn't done a trackday since 2002. I think he came home a little deflated as he wasn't as quick as he used to be, I kept having to remind him that it didn't matter as long as he was enjoying it. He certainly wasn't the oldest or slowest out there today.
