I should be finally doing a track day on the GSXR I bought 2 months ago!

It's expensive but anyone form here going to Silverstone on the 29th May?
I was close to booking that but booked the FE May 15th date on the GP circuit for £119. It'll be the first UK TD of the year for me. On a new (to me) bike too.

Christ on a bike that is cheap for Silverstone. I'm tempted to book even though I'm booked on for the 31st again. Two times at Silverstone can't hurt, right?

I thought the same, hopefully there isn’t some horrific catch

Had a little look on their website and it seems they do like an earlybird discount! So the earlier you book the cheaper it is

It currently shows as £125, if I had a few more quid I might do that one too so I know where the track goes and how the bike feels doing it

Even though I'm there on the 31st, I've booked on for that FE date. Will be good to get the first run out of the year done. Silverstone is really good now they've resurfaced it, it felt mega in the car.

I’ve just booked onto that, too cheap to miss really although I paid £125

My first one of the year also and first one on my ZX6R, hopefully goes well as I have one the Sunday after but I can take another bike on that if it doesn’t!

Cracking day at Brands yesterday.

Had to pull in early from one session because of the heavy rain but it was dry again after lunch.

Bit of a red flag fest in the morning.
Someone totalled a bike on the start/finish straight. Shovelling parts into the back of the truck - anyone from here? Hope you're OK.

I had a cracking double trackday at Anglesey on Easter weekend. Good weather, ace track, and didn't fall off like last year. Still at the slow end of novice but no longer the slowest!

Got some kneedown training booked for tomorrow (forecast says rain, obviously frown).

Cadwell trackday booked for start of June. Also booked a Hopp training day at Cadwell which is on the road bike, not sure if that is good or bad but I am looking forward to it.

Hopefully if I can get some bike transport sorted I'll book some more trackdays. Should be a good year smile

We were finished when you had the biggest near crash of the day, and instead of laughing it off like billy big bks like you should have done , you had a little cry in the back of the van. Puff

If you had offered a cuddle it would have been yours.

I left at 3pm today and missed the last session as I'd run out of fuel, and was also a little bit ed after 2 days on track. Good start to the year. Really need to get to the gym

Back from Bedford MSV trackday.

It might be great on a balmy Summer's day but 7'c, raining, windy and point & squirting the bike over a patchwork quilt of odd tarmac and puddles mostly devoid of reference markers meant my mates all nervously suggesting throwing in the towel at lunchtime. Normally I'm King of getting maximum VFM, doing every session etc. but I was only too happy to sod off.

Picked up a 2005 R1 trackbike off the Mr 'S' of BSB team FS-3 on the way up there. Only dealt with the Mr 'F' element who was lovely chap and was busy trying to get me interested in Shakey's 2014 BSB ZX-10 they are putting back together. Can't afford the (bargain IMO) £25k so old-ish R1 it was.

Didn't manage to run the newer bike (instead managing a heady 47 miles on the ancient R1) so newer one is being shipped out to Brno end of June hoping it's got all the gears etc. I did manage to throw it off it's stand so I need another screen at least - perfect end to a perfect day!

New month next week so onward and upward. I've also somehow agreed to buy a GSXR750 as well so sunshine and 4 bikes should equal some fun.

I've still got a few bits off my 4vy track bike.
