Yes, as intended - enjoy the Merlot! I've got an early start so should really pack in early. I'm also not very sensible.

It's a K5 GSXR 750 btw.
Only benders go for 750s....... biggrin

On my last track day I didn't survey everyone on site and check what stand they were using - maybe I should have done a questionnaire or something so I could have gathered the data while I was there. Or maybe I just didn't take any notice as I wasn't using tyre warmers and rode to the track.

Maybe you need a beer too?
As your mood seems not to have improved despite the beer, I’ll try again. You don’t need to survey people, a simple glance around the garage, or paddock will tell you all you need to know. Maybe even just look at what race teams use the world over in any series that you follow.

You asked for advice, I gave it. You seem to not like the answer, so feel free to buy the centre lift that you really want to, just don’t expect anyone who is experienced at trackdays to agree with your choice.

Got myself a new toy for some practice. Brand new, came in a box like it was from Ikea. Also got a set of dirt wheels with it...shenanigans...

It's a Stomp Motard with Z Cam.

I've just realised I follow you on instagram!

I thought the post looked familiar hehe

Enjoy it, they are great fun but get used to tightening things that vibrate loose and don't expect just because it's new it won't give you problems. They can be a pain in the arse and seem very hit and miss in terms of quality.

Ah cool, smile

I had one last year but it was only a 125 and 50 sized frame. So hopefully I'll be able to keep up on the straights with this one.
I've found some of the fixings are stripping themselves just under normal tightening. So I'll be keeping an eye on things and replacing a bunch.

Yeah some of it is certainly not built to last. Local to me was a kart track running a series and there are people of all shapes, sizes and ages riding the 140's so should fit you better. They are surprisingly quick little machines, not sure how they compare to a 125 though.

Are you planning to race with BMB or are you just aiming to do practice days? Let us know how you get on thumbup

The one I had before didn't keep up out of corners. Up to speed at some places like Whilton Mill or Red Lodge it did ok, but needed that bit more.

Just practice as I'm racing in Thundersport this year.

Strip and thread lock as much as you can as everything rattles itself loose pretty quickly, especially (as you’ve already found out) you can’t do anything up that tight for fear of either stripping threads or crushing bearings
Me and my boy have both got 50 sized 140’s and they’re a blast but underpowered compared to the tunes bikes, 160’s and Honda crf’s.
Good for learning to keep corner speed though

Aye, will do. Might just get another bottle of loctite just for it. Haha.

You and your boy look like you had another great trip.

Ive taken a gamble and booked Oulton for tomorrow, as got a few mates booked on. Weather so far is looking OK.

Spent most of the day in the garage getting stuff together, fitting new tyres, giving the bike a once over for obvious issues and was nice and happy. Went to load the van and it’s dead as a dodo. What a tt. Took forever to get enough charge into the battery to get it to fire up.
