George and I went to Donington today. It was flipping hammering it down for most of the morning. I don't mind riding in the rain, but this was cold and raining super hard, so we sat in the garage and drank tea. The sun came out at Lunchtime, so we got 3 properly dry sessions. I can't say I rode overly well, just like normal, but it was nice to on my bike in the dry as that's my first dry UK day this year
When I saw the forecast for rain all day, I'd have stayed in bed, but as I'd sold my spare bike and the lad was meeting me at the track to pick it up, I ended up going and glad I stuck around for the sunshine to come out
Turned out to be a great afternoon! Glad I didn’t sack it off and go into work instead When I saw the forecast for rain all day, I'd have stayed in bed, but as I'd sold my spare bike and the lad was meeting me at the track to pick it up, I ended up going and glad I stuck around for the sunshine to come out
Off to Snetterton on Saturday for the first time, anyone else going?

How's the new bike George?
It’s going great thanks but still needs a few tweaks, feels good at most places I’ve been but definitely needs some changes for Donington. The front end on the Honda gave me a lot more confidence than the BMW but the BM is miles faster. Got plenty of track time booked on it so hopefully get to grips with it more over the coming months jock mcsporran said:

Might be having to cancel Brno as struggling to arrange swaps for work
That the late June one with NL ??? My lot are on that .... you remember us, the all the gear no idea in Inters crowd with about a gazillion pounds worth of various Ducati kit ...... I think one member may have his V4 out ......Looking to see if we can switch to something later in the year.
I talked an additional pair of 'road only' chaps into riding out there with me, then all doing the track and flying home / crating the bikes. I've backed out of the riding out there bit and just doing it normally (fly in and out with our normal track lot) as they want to spend a week getting there (Amsterdam, Black Forest, Autobahns, Prague etc) and I cannot afford the holiday / replacement liver.
Comically last week they've just both bought new bikes for it (£23k SP2 Fireblade and £14k GSXR1000) and one of their son's is going too in his BMW V10 car thing and see if he can reach it's claimed 204mph top speed and to carry all the luggage. Somewhat speechless - be impressed if the whole thing goes without a hitch!
Keeping this thread updated I just got back from Lydden Hill first time Saturday. For such a small track I loved it
Not been on track since October so I was rusty. Only managed two sessions including the siting laps before bloody bike troubles
This was my third session below which was OK for about 5 mins then the bike either had a plug breaking down or coil pack... Not sure but I'm getting it fixed
https://youtu.be/nBqRLjhQ8Hg
Was very happy with the setup though the night before. Everything fits perfect
And the awning was much needed... There was actually sun and it was hot all day!

Too tight to buy any others, when you've seen one you've seen them all but I'm pleased that I'm getting there on left handers
I have quite a bad injury where although I didn't have what Nemesis had I did get some life changing work. 4 years after and I can finally half tuck in and get my left knee out... Result!

Did Josh ask you to ride for him then?
No, he’s a little bit more awesome. We had a good chat though and like last year when I met him for the first time realised what a nice guy he really is. It’s strange how he comes across on TV as a bit of a miserable sod, but I guess that’s his race face. Apparently Shakey is the exact opposite.
