R1 is now abandoned at a mate’s barn for the next 5 months while I do DIY type rubbish / boiler install / garage conversion over the dark months. Was hoping for discount code for Silverstone’s Easter Bank Hol date to focus the mind.

Just got back from Jerez with no limits this last weekend with my lad Mikey
My lad's bike wasn't fixed, so he rode my R1 again and i was on pit crew duties
Decent trip, good company and weather was nice and dry
Stuck the camera on for a session with Mikey and FWR Bob on the second day, and Mikey get's into the 1:45's in this session

I borrowed FWR Bob's bike on Sunday for a couple of sessions in borrowed leathers and kit, and did some wheelies too, which was a cool way to end the trip as it was painful being there and not riding

Going to be a bit of a stepdown for your lad to go back the the 600 now!
It was super impressive. You can certainly see why it's the bike of choice in Stk1000 now days as it's a good step over everything else (I used to have a 2021 Stk1000 spec BMW S1000RR, and it's quite a bit better than that too)Going to be a bit of a stepdown for your lad to go back the the 600 now!
Mikey is actually looking forward to getting back on his ZX6R as he likes to carry a lot of corner speed, and that's not so easy on an R1

I've sold the remains of that bike and probably won't replace it next year. We are in the middle of a bungalow conversion and I don't have a garage for now. I'll have to hire a bike to do a track day if I can afford it.

Slightly different but I would love to come to a few track days next yr ( preferably Brands ) to chat to people doing the track days and I dont mind fetching teas etc , I am looking to possibly do a track day later in the yr , once I decide what bike i want . But would still like to chat and get the feel of it all .
If anyone is going to say brands and wants a lacky goofer , I would love to help .
