Great ride tonight with the guys for pizza and a drink (just the one) weather was spot on and still not at 10pm. Headlights are brilliant but main beam is too high so going to a mates mot station to adjust it lower and correct

Rear tyre was on its last mm so I acted a tt as usual and killed it. I'll definitely run another set of m7rr's as the front is still less than half worn and did a wet snett track day, nurburgring and 2500 miles. Rear was a bit chewed on the sides but still had a couple mm before wear markers. For the road they are a really good tyre

Let us know how you get on with the screen, I've got a Mra which helps but not great
The screen makes the bike enjoyable now, there's no wind blast on my shoulders which there was before, the only downside is that I am getting more noise in my helmet so I suppose I should start wearing ear plugs.

Aprilia Performance Rearsets for the Tuono. This weekend, I shall have a working rear brake again!!! laugh

Just a quick test fit, need some loctite and DOT4 fluid to properly fit them.

I'm sure I must have the only gen 2 tuono in existance with a working rear brake with the standard mount reservoir 😂

I do need to get an uprated clutch slave for mine though as my clutch fluid only lasts about 1000 miles before turning black, I'm bored of changing the fluid that often!

Mine used to work... laugh It was fine all of last summer (September to November, 1000 miles worth) - and when i say 'fine' I mean it would hold the bike when stopped on a hill... but since the winter it's gotten progressively worse, I can push the lever to the stop with one finger, and rotate the rear wheel at the same time! I've tried bleeding it, it got a little better but constant bleeding is a bandaid fix, best to rip off the limb (master cylinder) and put it back on where it'll work! biggrin

My clutch fluid is black too, might get an oberon at some point but it doesn't bother me that much. The rearsets mean I can fit a quickshifter too winkbiggrin

Mine works fine too, at least it did until this week, not so sure now. I was thinking of a new clutch slave cylinder also, my clutch is really heavy and getting the bike into neutral is a pain.

Those rear sets look ace, where are they from?

www.apriliaperformance.co.uk - pretty much the number 1 guys in the UK when it comes to Aprilias.

The main reason for getting those rearsets is that they re-locate the brake master cylinder away from the engine and puts it vertical, the 2 reasons why the rear brake is so poor is becuase the m/c is horizontal and right under the engine.

My Mille came back from a service a week ago and the rear brake is now unbelievable - good enough to lock the rear wheel when I stamped on it on the way home!!

Parked up to get my hair cut and when I came back my bike was nearly over. School boy error as even though I was only gone for 30mins the stand had sunk into the hot tarmac.

I was headed for Scotland but the A696 was closed at Kirkharle, so I went West onto the B6342. They'd just laid some fresh tarmac onto some old rough patches, that'll not be set until midnight in this heat.

Good old Aprilia's choc fireguard clutch slave cylinders I went through 3 of them with my Falco back in the day all within the warranty period, Aprilia UK only replaced one under warranty. Its fairly normal with anything with their V60 Mille Twin to have the Clutch fluid black.. and then it will leak out ultimately
