[quote=redback911]Not been out on the bike for a while due to travel. Absolutely chucking it down when I woke up this morning, left the road-bike and took the Husky out instead.

Looks so much better in the flesh than all of the marketing images I've seen of the R.
Did you also ride the RS? If so, how does it compare?
Thanks, I think it looks great, its nice to see the new lights and fly screen from the speed being used on it. I like the white as well but I think the colours are pretty limiting across the range.Did you also ride the RS? If so, how does it compare?
I haven't ridden the RS, in face before yesterday I hadn't ridden a 765 or 675 street. A friend has ridden both, he reckons the R makes the better road bike, as its peak torque is slightly lower, and the bike has a bit more mid range. The brakes and suspension on the R are still great. The RS would definitely have the edge on the track.
The R's have only just made it to dealers, hopefully a few more comparisons will turn up in the next few weeks.
Had a couple of hours free this evening so I sorted out the tail fairing. It was broken when I bought the bike.
I sourced a replacement for £15 but Sod's law it was the wrong shade of red. I primed it and flattened it back over the weekend. (you need a cheeky beer or two)
I then painted it with a colour matched rattle can, as usual the finish is ste but I'll flatten it back with plenty of water and 2500 grit wet and dry.
Once flattened back I'll use some cutting polish and lacquer it, it will then go back here..
I also gave the scabby rear grab rail a lick of paint.
