Horses for courses I guess, I just thought it was a nice cool morning ride in where I am not overheating by the time I get to work.

Well tonight's commute home was "interesting"

Coming around the roundabout at the base of the OKR (near flyover), woman in an Audi merged lanes literally into the side of me, from the wrong lane to avoid a bus!

Lean on the horn and get nothing but verbals and the finger! Put it behind me and carry on. I'm in the LH lane, she then merges into me, taking off my indicator, running over my foot and leaving the bike leant over and the tilt cut-off activated! At least the altercation removed her NS mirror, no harm seeing as she doesn't use it!

She comes out yelling despite being 100% to blame but I was on my way after the bike re-started, hell, no way was I staying there with a bunch of "locals" getting angry. Will fill out an online 101 form anyway should she have decided to report it to save any potential hassle if she's done the same.

Crazy mid-week!

You can't possibly have this much bad luck. Have you thought more rider training or something?

Took the van...

Schools are out though so roads are very quiet. Managed to do the journey in 35 minutes, record breaking.

Back on two tomorrow though.

I find this type of attitude amazing and unfortunately quite common. Myself, I'm always the hold my hand up if I've made a mistake which is why I can't comprehend the audacity of some people. One can only assume they're a thick as sometimes there is simply no grey area.

Had my pansy pants on today. Seen the rain and thought naa. Currently got free parking with the car at the office. Need water proofs, last time it trickled down my shirt was soaking from the moobs upwards. Not commuting for the next week and a half as booked it off, was hoping to do a bit of daytime solo riding but according the Yahoo app it's going to be raining for the next 10 days frown

Indeed, I'm the same, unfortunately typical of the type of local around inner S London....can never be wrong - always women the worst though, feisty for no reason!

At home today but had some fossil and his wife pull into the outside lane doing about 45/50 mph after pulling out of the services behind a lorry.

Queue the 3 or 4 cars in front of me locking up from about 95/100mph. Luckily i was following at a distance and had the anchors applied with plenty of time to spare.

I really don't get why people do that. Join the motorway where there is already fast moving traffic and try and boot it in their 1.2 corsa/207/fiesta into the outside lane and overtake the people they have just merged with. So dangerous.

Hmm sounds like a dangerous move for sure.

Bit of a pet hate of mine is people joing the motorway at low speeds. I tend to not try and move over when into the or adjust my flowing speed to give them room. Makes me sound like a twot I know but obviously that'll depend on the vehicle and length of runway they have to get to speed. Some just don't speed up when joining, go right to the end to the filtering corner, don't even bother looking right where they're about to join and assume whoever is on the motorway will move for them. Staying with that, some people on the motorway are so quick to move into the middle lane to give them room (rather than adjusting speed) but will cut people up and/or force people in the middle to move to the 'fast' lane which in turn could cut people up. It's madness.

The fiesta could have a Ken Block WRC spec motor pushing out 650hp in it - it would leave most sportsbikes behind in a roll-on test scratchchin

I found downtown Joburg quite reasonable actually smile. Now if you'd said the local taxi buses anywhere in Joburg.....

I found downtown Joberg to be nothing but the aforementioned taxi-buses, combined with associated driving standards
