Horrible top end rattle started this morning, I noticed something in the background a few miles from home and developed quite loud about half way to work.. 20 or so miles..
2009 Bandit 1250.. hmm.. maybe a new MT-09 to replace it, should last a few years..
Could just be a failed cam chain tensioner.2009 Bandit 1250.. hmm.. maybe a new MT-09 to replace it, should last a few years..

Not sure where you lot live, but I was soaked coming into London along the M4, was chucking it down this morning, I am now wondering how soggy my gloves will be for the journey home
Came into London on the A3.. put spare gloves in the bike so I have dry ones for the ride home.Traffic very light this morning, I thought the schools were back now?
High(low)light was sitting at some lights (end of Cotton Street), two lanes, I'm on the inside. There's a bus lane about 100 yards ahead, with a bus in it. When I pulled away, Passatt on my right floors it, swerves towards me and deliberately tries to block me from going round the bus. Unfortunately for him even the big old RT managed to wheeze it's way ahead of him without any problem.

Ditto re not wasting time at the weekend cleaning the bike.
If this weather is still here next week when the kids all go back to school I may go back onto the trains until that strange yellow orb appears in the sky again .
Fed up trying to dry wet gear in an office environment. We have 3 bikers and about 10 cyclists trying to fit all their wet gear onto two postage stamp sized radiators, one of which is in a loo.
Sounds like your employer needs to provide a facility for those healthy cyclists that you can all tag on to!If this weather is still here next week when the kids all go back to school I may go back onto the trains until that strange yellow orb appears in the sky again .

Second day on the bike and I'm getting back into the swing of things. Traffic was better than yesterday although the low light was the biker down on the southern end of the M11 between the M25 and the A406. I hope he was OK.
I must admit I am looking forward to better weather. Dry roads and sunshine would be appreciated if anyone can arrange that?

Drizzle based commute today - left home a bit later than yesterday and despite easter school holidays traffic fairly normal on the highway to tower bridge but overall good progress made and overall a stress free commute.
Biggest improvement to riding no more bulky winter/heated gloves !!! So much nicer on the controls having my 'summer' gortex gloves on.

Full-on commute for me this morning. Stumbled across the landing from the bedroom to the office in my PJs at 8.29 and sat down, which is where I still am now.
So you office types don't get showered/shaved, slap on the aftershave and stare into the mirror shouting "fk yeah, go get em tiger" before sitting down at the keyboard ?Biker's Nemesis said:

Thats the 80s/90s Approach where people had to come into the office and needed to suit/posh up and it was full on wall street style dog eat dog lolI've never worked in a place like that (i.e. never worked in the banking world unlike many people I know)

Ask me how I know
Eta: photo is too big. London wall just after Moorgate junction heading to Museum of London. 3 bikes done whilst I had getting my collar felt.

Appreciate the headsup, I go close to the city boundary but not quite into it - I'm guessing they want to enforce the 20 limit which probably almost no one was paying attention too. This one cunningly hidden behind a grey building works unit on London Wall

While I was off last week I took my bike for a spin after cleaning it Thursday and they had a completely unmarked ANPR van (didn't seem to be speed camera as no safety camera awareness stickers etc) and some 200m up the road multiple police vans and a ton of officiers and PSCOs hanging around Prestons Road on the Isle of Dogs - I assume they were waiting for something to ping off the van - front plates only. I saw/assumed it was ANPR because I was doing about 5 or so over the 20 limit but less than 30 and no one made any attempt to stop me.
