Festive spirit must be kicking in, a quieter ride in today, a nice ride if a little chilly.

I've been in Spain enduro riding since Thursday. 19 degrees, blue skies, amazing views and trails.

Got back to the UK last night, the commute this morning was cold, wet, dark, dull.

In other news, just had a call from the dealer, my RSV4 is fixed, throttle sensor was messing about apparently. Surprised that it can go wrong in 180 miles, but there we go.

A new(ish) company called Crixus Motorsport - would highly recommend!

All the trails were top notch, and enjoying lunch after a hard mornings riding with some epic views...

I was on my home yesterday going Westbound on the A40 around 6pm. I'm filtering between L2 & L3 and traffic itself is steadily moving at 10-15mph. There's a FFRR in L3, all blacked out complete with private plate and it keeps hovering over the lines meaning I can't get by. I pull up parallel and the guy is texting in his lap, he finally looks up and I shake my head disapprovingly. He puts his hands up in anger and bewilderment (clearly unsure how his texting could in any way impact me) so I return with a lovely w*nker sign. He is now infuriated and clearly needs to show me my place so with his phone still in his hand he puts his foot down, hard. In the midst of him texting he has failed to notice the lorry changing from L2 to L3 and no sooner has he started accelerating than he has to drop anchor. ABS clattering away and he barely (literally about 6 inches) away from hitting the lorry that now found itself in L3. By this point I am practically in hysterics and with a twist of the throttle I'm long gone laugh

M4 Eastbound is shut this morning between Jnt's 13 and 12, apparently a rider has been killed, I elected to work from home rather than fight through all of that.

Ouch, thats crap news and hopefully not one of our regulars, I think we have a couple that come in from Newbury way, I get on at 8/9, there was also a lane blocked on the elevated section of the A4 this morning, bike on its side, rider seemed to be up and about and returned my nod, didn't stop as 2 cars already had ....

I got on at M4 J13 this morning heading westbound, was a bit chaotic.

Killed by debris apparently frown

Further down the M4 I came across a big piece of what looked like plastic floating in the air because of the wind, long enough to be across 2 lanes. Could have been interesting hitting that!

Bloody windy this morning.

After the usual plodding/filtering round to Simister Island, the M60 cleared a bit clockwise, but after opening it up to 80 and then literally being blown from lane 2 to lane 3, I took the pragmatic option of retreating to lane 1 and sitting at 50 the rest of the way to work.

Still learning!

Bolton to Ashton.

The ride home was literally the wettest I’ve experienced in 12 months on the bike. Awful.

Still preferable to sitting in traffic though.

Barry ( Andrews ) one of the two owners is a former Operations Manager of Focused Events , he’s a truly top guy who everybody who ever meets him loves to bits , very mellow , humorous and accommodating . We became close mates over the few years I knew him and look forward to catching up with him ( and Pete, who I’ve not met but hear good things about ) over there some time . Glad you enjoyed .
