RE: Guy Martin in shock electric return...
Discussion
The only way I will ever take the electric TT seriously is if they have to generate their own power on the way round.
I can't wait to see a solar bike racing against a nuclear bike racing against a coal-powered bike (I don't think the wind and water options will work
My money is on coal to do it first.

It's going to make the traditional TT rather interesting. Sat at the start line with a dinosaur on your pillion seat, waiting for it to decompose to oil.I can't wait to see a solar bike racing against a nuclear bike racing against a coal-powered bike (I don't think the wind and water options will work

I like TT zero and have watched every year since it started. It was a joke where it was a win if you managed to complete a single lap. The machinery was unreliable, heavy and slow. Now they look the business and look seriously fast, not superbike fast but not to be laughed at.
Guy Martin has raced them before and did quite well if I remember correctly so I don't see why it's such a massive surprise that he's on one again. My money is on Mc Guinness or Rutter though as they always win.
As for the big bikes, it will be Hutchinson, Dunlop or maybe Mc Guinness if the Fireblade turns out to be any good. My money is on Hutchy though.

Interesting technology, can't imagine they would be too much of a spectacle going past.
I'll take guesses on the year an electric bike wins the Senior TT.
I'll go 2050.
2067. Energy density is improving with batteries but it's a long way off.I'll take guesses on the year an electric bike wins the Senior TT.
I'll go 2050.
2070
2017 predictions:
Superbike: Dunlop
Superstock: Dunlop
Supersport: I can't call it
Senior: IH/Mcpint
Sidecar: DM BB with a race each
