Anyone heading to Austin for the weekend? Looks like a lot of the riders have been this side of the globe for most of the week, probably to avoid jet-lag come bike time.

Rossi claims to have a score to settle with the track, Vinnie wants to end Marquez's Austin streak and MM is planning on giving it 100%......who do you guys have?

If the weather professionals are to be believed it looks like we'll have a high of 30 degrees with thunderstorms on Friday, cloudy 21 degrees Saturday and a sunny, 23 degree day for race day (though that can change on a penny here in Texas.....).

I'd love Rossi to win, but realistically I think Marquez will keep his clean sheet at Cota.

Hope McPhee can go one better in moto 3.

I'll be there woohoo Collecting the rv tomorrow and staying at COTA for the weekend.

MM93 still favourite, but Maverick has made quite a start to the season. Really looking forward to it.

Outside chance of a shock from one of the former moto2 boys?

Are you staying in the RV area at the circuit? I'll pop by and say hello

Marquez has gone 5 rounds without a win, has collected 38 points in those races and is therefore quite desperate I imagine to win in Austin. But, equally he'll be cautious to not waste the opportunity.

Vinales would settle for second given his points advantage already and it's never been a strong Yamaha track. He'll talk a good fight, but will only stick his neck out if he really feels he can beat Marquez, too much to lose already.

Lorenzo has had to ditch all pre season testing data as he's changed his riding position, but who knows, it may be the trick he needs.

Vale and Dovi will be quick, but overall I think it should be Marquez.

Will they have the new front tyre?

Marquez to win without a shadow of a doubt here. Vinales will get roughed up/struggle and maybe have an error or two tussling at the front and Zarco to put a spanner in the works. I can't see Rossi doing well as he never has in Austin.

What was Canet in Moto3 doing yesterday to be over a second clear in both FP1 and FP2? I thought he was taking a short cut.

Watching practice and the analysis of the circuits' braking zones, COTA feels like a young rider's track with the number of high speed braking zones to 1st gear plus the number of hard left-right-left-right turns. Physical stamina and strength must play a part over race distance. Seeing how Rossi lost so much weight for this season, I reckon his age must play a factor at circuits like COTA.

Bit of a heavy night on 6th so just off to the circuit. Pretty damp here which might make qualifying interesting drunk

There is something reassuring about seeing Suzi Perry chatting to Colin Edwards. It's feels like 2003 or something.
