Perhaps you should post your own credentials, in view of the fact you spend so much time telling everyone else what they are doing wrong.
I don't have any credentials, I'm an average road and track rider at best. I don't believe I can out ride a modern sportsbike though, or find fault with it like some on here. Gavia said:
The reason I've posted the above is that a lot of what's posted is the sort of stuff you'd find out riding at a high level on track, so what journalists would write. I'm not convinced anyone can push a Superbike so hard on the road to see these failings, other than the snatchy throttle and often that's just an excuse for being hamfisted
I really don't understand what your issue is. The OP asked for opinions and I offered mine. I did this to be helpful to the OP. I don't claim to be Guy Martin and I haven't posted anything particularly technical, it doesn't take a professional journalist to spot the snatchy throttle and wooden brakes; they're obvious to anyone who's ridden a variety of other bikes and they're opinions which are very common amongst others who have ridden this particular model of R1. But you bang on about them at every single opportunity. If the bike is that bad just sell it. I've just my new one, but won't be using it til I've got a ventureshiled on it next week. I don't believe that a modern sportsbike is in any way as bad as you're portraying it. Gavia said:

It's not about out-riding a bike, it's about noticing differences. All vehicles have their compromises and I don't see what you find so offensive about modifying a bike to make it suit the user better?
I don't find anything offensive about it, I just doubt it needs the modifications. Gavia said:

You doubt it without actually riding one? Those doubts may fade, or they may not. We're all different. Posting my profile photo and casting aspersions on my eligibility to comment was unnecessary though.
Yes, I doubt it. I couldn't tell the difference between any of each generation of modern litre bikes that have been built since 2004. They are all as good as each other. Ask a top level rider and they'll know the difference, but us mortals won't. I'm not sure it was unnecessary. You're posting expert opinions, but have chosen a photo that you're proud of, that isn't that impressive. Your reaction posts (now deleted) of "fking bellend" and "cockwomble" may have prompted more from me.

I've not posted any expert opinions and never claimed to have done. I've never claimed to be an expert! That photo is simply the only photo I have of me riding my bike, nothing more than that.
Your post (and others directed at me on other threads) was designed to get a reaction and you got one. The use of profanities was clumsy and uncreative though. I apologise.

You can't tell any difference between the litre bikes of the last 13 years?! Really? They're all undoubtedly good but each has its differences.

I can't differentiate between each generation i.e. a 2005 R1, GSXR, ZX10 and Blade are all much of a muchness as it is each subsequent generation when compared with the competitors bikes of a similar age. The current generation will all be equally phenomenal and way beyond anyone this side of a national race licence holder. I've not posted any expert opinions and never claimed to have done. I apologise for being so inflammatory and I'll leave it be now.

Thank you for your apology. Enjoy your new bike and all the best.

Aha, sure, you need to be at least a professional racer to feel anything on a bike, right?Test ride R1 and see how hamfisted you are.
Then test ride two bikes back to back and see if they feel the same.
