I think the Internet full of stories of leaking sena's is just that. I've had my Sena for coming up to 4 years used in all weathers and had no problems with water ingress. Similarly I've never known of water ingress being an issue on any brand of headset. I think what you've read may have been blown out of proportion.

Another Interphone user here, yep the microphone foam is not tasty as someone mentioned, rest of it works a treat though.

I never acquired the autocomm taste either, even after 7 years instructing...

Out of interest, how much louder was the interphone vs the cheap headset?

I've got a £35 headset in my helmet which does the job, but it's not loud enough to hear music or sat nav instructions over 60-70mph. Funds may not stretch to a Schuberth R2 and SC1 (£600 in total!) this year so I may replace my cheap headset with a Sena 10s which you can get for £170 - but if the volume isn't any better there's not much point...
I didnt use the cheap then the Interphone close enough to compare. Sorry. The Interphone isn't great but I don't expect anything will be when you've a speaker sat a bit away from your ear at 80mph wearing a fibreglass shell. I really should look at trying to integrate in ear headphones to replace the standard speakers. Noise cancelling ones if possible.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1000M-Interphone-NFC-BT-...

My friend and I both have this and I have to say for money it's very good.

It's Bluetooth music radio and phone. He has his tom tom speak into his as well

As phone calls are all inclusive we just call each other to speak and rest of time listen to music.

At 30 quid you can't go wrong. We've both had about a year and still work great.

Quick update.

I sourced the 'Tour twin set' from Italy over £100 cheaper than any UK shop could offer it at.

In a word; wowzers. I obviously can't compare it to any other make (having not used them) other than the comms I use in an aeroplane I hire.

Great kit. Fully weather protected. No regrets.

Got a link?

I'm doing a trip to Biarritz in June and the three people I'm going with all have Interphone Sports. Which are £179. Each yikes

I'd be getting a pair (might as well get one for Mrs DS) but if there's an option which is better value without compromising the alleged range I'm interested.
