He was just an idiot, they are attracted to all modes of transport. I'd have probably got out the car, but then my daughter was used to that being her Taekwondo instructor. I never hit them, but its always funny to see them backing down when they suss you might know what you're doing and you're smiling calmly at them as you climb out the car! I must stop doing that, one day someone might pull a gun.

Should I be in that situation, I'd just make sure to get their reg no and call 999 on the spot. No interaction with them, just call the police. After calling the police, start video recording them. Been there, done that (though minus the video as cell phone video cameras hadn't been invented at the time).

Every has a bad day sometimes. Not everybody picks a fight in front of a 9yo.

Like I said in the last post, with that temperament on a bike he will soon be dead. Can't say I'd be sorry, I'd just hope it's a single vehicle crash so he doesn't bother a member of the public when he checks out.

dash cams have reduced road rage incidents for me when the 'perp' realises they are on camera being recorded.

In front of your kids too. What a prat.

I get a lot of road rage when out riding my push bike. Don't understand some people.

Oi Sixer, I ride that road fairly often, and often filter down the outside - just need to do it in chunks as/when there are gaps in oncoming traffic.

The bloke is a total throbber. Pity you didn't get his plate, I'd have a word if I saw him about. I suspect that he's turning left into Whitley isn't unrelated, old UphillFreewheeler had some beef with an angry Gangsta yoof on a bike a few months ago, wouldn't surprise me if it was the same dhead.

Wasn't this utter bell-end was it, by any chance?

You didn't do anything wrong. the biker sounds like a newbie/idiot that doesnt really know the road properly. the fact that he didnt even bother filtering stationary traffic raises the idea that he/she is inexperienced in riding. also sounds like they're abit 'special' because they think they're right and can only think of their situation. how the fk are you expected to know what he is up to? the 'humanity' thing screams of chav to me too.

don't worry. you just encountered a spastic.

I'd love to hear the bikers version. It could be very entertaining. hehe

I can see no earthly reason why he couldn't pass you when you were leaving the correct space for through traffic, can you?

When I look back 35-40 years to the stupid attitude I had as a young biker myself, I cringe.

I spy a tracksuit. What a fking surprise.

OP (and PurpleTurtle, for that matter). Don't let it get to you. They're idiots. They'll keep doing what they do until it gets them killed. Then they won't be anyone's problem anymore.

I had something very similar today, a coil pack went on the car I was driving (I think) and it went into limp home mode. I was trying my best to avoid accelerating as car juddered like crazy under power so on driving through the A10 in Cheshunt instead of driving normally up to the traffic lights I slowed down to 10-15 mph and crept up to them. Sent the guy behind psychotic. Incidentally I was in lane 1 and there was no reason he couldn't have overtaken.

Some people just don't think or look ahead, that's what this is.

No, not the same bike. My bloke's one was white with orange/black flashes I think. He was wearing one of those open helmets with a scarf across his mouth.
