I love the commentary, what makes it even better for me is knowing its winding some up that much they must be frothing at the mouth.

Long live Huwen and Julian.

What an incredibly mean spirited thing to enjoy. And, I'm sorry to spoil your fun, but I think you're confusing me with someone with rabies. I just wish my favourite thing was a bit better, as- it appears- many others do. It doesn't bother me one jot, I was simply discussing it on a discussion forum.

But as always, my apologies to you for forgetting that you decide what's acceptable to discuss and what's not. It can't be easy having that much power and being so humble. Luckily, you literally never repeat yourself about the things you're into, right?

I couldn't quite believe what I saw earlier ,takes lead, loses lead ,bins it.

Didn't think much of the commentary either but I never do and whoever edited the highlights is a numbty.

First ad break ,25 laps to go ,Zarco leading ,ads finish ,21 laps to go ,Vinales leading and did they show a repeat of the

overtake ?.....Not that I could see....moan

Plus the pages and pages of complaining about the same st on every race thread..... These used to be good, but now it's just full of people trying to crack the funniest gag about the commentary, moaning about the same stuff after every MGP round.....

I'm not trying to be a smart arse and that's the truth. Look, we all know you don't like the commentry but what can be done about it on here, if I disliked it that much I would complain direct to sky sports or even start a thread titled "moto gp commentry dissucsion thread" and point sky towards that thread.

As a piss taking grumpy old knacker I don't try to be popular on here or in real life so take your comments about me and stick them right up your bottom.

All the best

BN.

Nervs, it's great that you are so rabid about the commentary. Sometimes you go all quiet for a while and we worry about whether you're OK, but usually we can just count the days until the next GP and then we know we'll find out whether you're still all in one orange piece (and hopefully not an orange one-piece) or not. God knows what we're going to do during the summer break though. Pretend that there are some extra races? Ask Keith to comment on various other posts in BB? Or will you just drop in occasionally and reassure us?

I've just started a thread for discussion on commentary team... fill ya boots chaps.

Other thoughts from the weekend (my positivity has been weakened by poor Nicky and the Manchester explosion)

1) The hondas looked a real handful, Marc's crash was horrible.
2) Who really thought that on a dry track and all things being equal, Rossi would be as quick as Maveric? I'm a massive Rossi fan and disappointed with his crash - but I really didn't think he'd catch Maveric so I'm heartened that he really can compete this year.
3) Zarco is looking brilliant. What's the view on how good the tech3 is? How much deficit to the works Yam?
4) Could this be the year when Pedrosa finds his mojo early in the season, stays injury free? Could be a real contender.
5) The moto3 crash, they can't allow bike's to lay fluid all round the circuit, is that the start of fall off and no re-joining?

Can't wait for Mugello.

To many people VR IS MotoGP. If he retired, they'd quit the sport the same day. I

They aren't fans. You saw the way they reacted against MM93 at the end of 2015. MM was the devil incarnate for daring to beat their hero.

They disgust me.

Nice little blog if you get the chance talking about the obsession for the bloke. Who it must be said, is IMO the genuine greatest of all time. But that doesn't mean we have to get hysterical about it.

There's also plenty of people who don't like Lorenzo, or who do like Stoner. And that gets discussed here quite a lot too, but I don't see a lot getting 'done' about that either. Or, have I misunderstood, and the point of all threads as to effect a policy change? If so, by now, you'd have thought we'd all have GSXRs.

But, that's cool. As ever, I had assumed that all things related to bikes/ biking/ racing were fair game to discuss on a biking forum. My mistake fella.

And thanks for the directive as to where to pop my comments. That'll be right up my alley.

Sadly, the video is unavailable.

Hopefully if I try and play it every day something will get done about it.

The difference is lorenzo etc are the entertainment , they are what we sit down to watch .

The commentators are just like side salad there not the main attraction .

You don't discuss the commentators you just copy and paste the same old catchphrases after every single race .

For instance i'd lay money next race we're going to get the same old tripe about how suzi perry is looking older , toselands hair, julian ryder eating/chewing and keith huewan constantly going on about rossi/ the doctor / the goat.

To you. To others, the commentators are also worth discussing.

And from a quick flick through the dedicated commentary thread, I'd say there's others who don't mind chatting about it too. Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean you're right.

In the same way that people post the same old opinions on riders/ GSXRs/ their over-inflated opinions of their own riding abilities etc? Ok. That's cool. Just let me know what the Same Comment Limit is, and I'll make sure this place becomes the well oiled machine of precise, informed facts it absolutely should be.

Possibly. Or I might comment on another thread. This might come as a surprise to you, but that's what these forums are actually for. Hope that's ok.

If it helps, I'll happily say it again in a minute (unless I'm over my limit already- you'll let me know, yeah?).

To be honest I like most of the riders, I know Stoner moaned like a drain when he was racing, but his racing was spectacular to watch, his race with Rossi at Laguna Seca was epic and his last race at Philip Island was just a showcase of motorbike drifting porn.

Rossi is awesome, and I am pleased at his age he is still mixing it with the rest.

Marquez is very exciting to watch, but he needs to keep a cool head

Vinales seems to be the new young pretender

As a Brit I always want to see Sam, Scott, Bradley and Cal do well, although Cal does seem to have a lot of excuses

I respect Lorenzo's riding, he has had to recover from some big injuries but I have never warmed to him much

Jack Miller looks to be one to watch for the future.

I would like to see Rossi get one more championship before he retires, which I am guessing will be at the end of 2018 when his two year deal is up with Yamaha.

And at the end of the day, even a bad MotoGP race is still miles more interesting / exciting than an F1 race.

I think the commentary could be better, sure, but I can largely tune them out to be honest.

This is a golden era of Motorbike racing yes
