Weird Indicator on Super Corsa tyre

Folks, my buddy is seeing this weird mark on his Pirelli Supercorsa after some track use:



I did a quick Google but failed to find anything. It looks like a wear indicator, or treasure map?

That's weird , I would call a fake on that picture but wait in interest for someone in the know.

Having looked at my slicks with the holes and then my road tyres with their usual markers, then reading the forums, Google and pirelli

I've come to the conclusion that the mark is in fact a pussy arrow

The top of the arrow would state your mate is a complete pussy if only leaning to that point

However he seems to be using most the tyre and gone to the bottom of the 'pussy arrow' so he's doing it right

On that scientific explanation I'd say he's fine and to carry on until the tyres knackered

I asked him for more piccies. He mentioned there are several of those marks. He is supposed to ride at Spa tomorrow so just a bit apprehensive.
