They will adjust the deal to cater for larger mileage.

Or you can just pay the excess mileage.

Or it doesn't really matter at all if you're going to keep the bike.

Seems like a bit of a flimsy reason boxedin
I guess I could keep my current commuter and divide my commuting between them....

Do I need 4 bikes??? I think so

You actually need 5 bikes. Just see this as a stepping stone to number five.

I think i'm going to swerve this, despite it being a cracking deal. Used bikes hardly lose any money and whilst these are all shiny and new, an auto AT isnt something that would have been top of my list.

I did mate.

Track bike
Road sports bike
Cb500x
AT

I'm continuing to use my existing commuter for work. With the AT doing it every now and then. Like you I do 3-4000 miles per month on my commuter. Will be using the AT as a tourer for me and the mrs as we go out a lot. I will also be doing 3 months touring all over in 2019z

Eventually it will replace my cb500x as a commuter. I am keeping it anyway after the 3 years so don't care about the miles.

Basically I did some wky man logic and the answer was buy one. So glad I did.

I am so jealous! I'd love one of these and it seems like such a great deal too.

it's really not a good time for me to be buying a new bike though. I think if I did my upcoming move would be back in with my parents instead of to a new place with my fiance. Of course, I'd have the bike though... scratchchin

It's a pity the DCT is the only option. Manual for me frown

Though even with man maths and skirting it around SWMBO's radar I doubt it would happen?

Just went to look at one in the dealers. Why did I do that?

Finance proposal done but re reading some mags over the weekend did make me think I'd rather have a Desert Sled. Just can't get my head round the super slim front tyre on the AT. Don't know why they don't do a road version with smaller wider wheels... will ponder

I thought this. But the DCT is really quite enjoyable. I have it in D mode but you can still shift up and down if you want to

I can't get used to D mode, it just seems to want to bog down all the time. Mine just stays in S1 for towns, S2 for anything else... Well, until the first service anyway!

I went for a short 50 mile ride in the Dales yesterday, in the rain, I loved it! It feels so much quicker than anything else I've owned on these roads, just because it deals with them better, and it's also enjoyable at much slower speeds... I love the DCT too, it's always in the right gear, and you can still downshift yourself ahead of a corner if needed smile

I leave it in D and just downshift myself. Have not even put it in S mode yet.

The guy said that you can choose at what point it shifts up and down, will need to read the manual at some point.

The way it goes through the gears in D is way too fast to the point of where it is labouring.

I have just kept it in S2 and upshift sooner at times and its great fun. Down shifting i just let the bike do those.

The buffeting is really bad, i get blurred vision at speeds so i think i will go for the MRA vario touring screen and the forkshields.

Has anyone tried the G mode, it's a bit weird, it provides more punch off the line, i reckon this could be the wheelie mode!

I've ordered the fork shield, waiting to see how that goes before I get a new screen, mostly because I can't find a screen I like the look of!

Surprising that such an expensive bike is let out with a hopeless screen, are you two gangly 7"ers or something?

yes it is a bit st, if i crouch down as low as i can go its ok.

I'm 6 ft 2 and need a different screen.

When the wife rode it she said it felt like her helmet was lifting up due to wind coming up through the forks.

For those that have taken advantage of the deal, did you do it because it was just such a cheap PCP deal, or did you genuinely want one?
