Mitas E09' on mine, found them to be a reasonable compromise, better than most off road and stable on road.
Suprised that you find these stable on road, i have fitted a new rear on a 205 kgs dry 750cc ADV bike and whilst off road the E-O9 is Very impressive, on road and it feels like its going to let go any second. Ive gone up to 32psi, but it felt far better on road, with my off road 22 psi in. neutral 3 said:

Bit of corrosion but nothing too bad, although i haven't got under it and had a good look

Any problems ?
Cleans up OK. Averaging 43mpg

I fitted Bridgestone A41s to mine 10 days ago and wow, they're amazing! They actually make the bike feel like it's sticking to the road rather than just vaguely hovering above it. Highly recommended.
I fitted them to mine last year, I agree they are very good, the only thing I have found is that when it was around 0c they didn't feel so great.. I thought it was because the rear is squared off after about 7000 miles ... But once the temp went up again they felt like they did before .. I've done around 8k on them now so am looking at changing them .. can't decide if I should get the same or try something else .. I'm considering .. A41, metzler tourace next or Conti Trail attack 3 ..0degC riding really impacts your tyre choice? Jesus. Fair play.
I inadvertently rode mine with TKC70s in milder snow storm like conditions, near the ski slopes up at Braemar last year. I've little reference (and no desire to gain more), but the tread cutting through snow seemed less of a relevance than the compound when dodging the powder, which on bikes I thought was fairly similar (varying, but quite high, silica compounds as standard aren't they?).
Never again by the way. Jesus fking wept. Steep learning curve that was.

I'm not a Uganda Twin evangelist, but do you ever take it on lighter off road stuff tonker?Only whenever I start wishing to chop it in and buy something else, I take it through a field, over hills, disused forestry roads, or down dirt track you'd never take a roadbike down. I tend to forgive it's shortcomings when I play to it's strengths for the odd half hour.

Riding in snow is just plain silly !! but well done for staying upright ..
The only significance to me was that I have never noticed that before on any bike or tyre I've had before .. and assumed it was the tyre nearing the end of it's life .. As the weather got warmer the tyre "feel" improved with the rise in temp .. and felt exactly the same as it did when new apart from the tram lining from being square ..
It's not a deal breaker as such just something I found unusual ..
