Winter sunshine in The Lakes - taken two weeks ago when it was a warm 6 degrees.

A scattering of snow now though. Planning on taking the Husky out when back home.

The latter.

You been out much? I've literally have one decent run in last few weeks. Wanted to go out yesterday afternoon but family commitments meant it was starting to get dark by the time I was ready so I didnt bother and despite claiming I ride all year round, it was a touch nippy

What's everyone done regarding fuel whilst laid up? Is there any danger of the injectors gumming up with modern fuel if not used for a while?

I think I'll take the Starfire out after work. It's managed to live for 48 years, so I doubt a bit of cold will kill it. smile

Just seen the first load of salt on the M6 this afternoon on the way in. I'll use the bike for work tomorrow and the NEC on Sunday (perhaps) then it's getting a wash and going in the garage until the salt's washed off the roads next year, unless I get tempted by a crisp, bright day like today over the intervening months

Worse still, it could invoke a China Syndrome and see it melt its way right through the Earth, leading to the destabilisation of the Earths orbit and sending us all spinning off into Outer Space with no atmosphere.

Please, please drain your bike of all fluids, for the sake of the whole planet.

Oh, ok, think I'll leave some fuel in the tank then if that happens, for the sake of humanity it'll be worth it if you bunch of ass holes get eradicated 😀

If I’m leaving my bikes standing I make sure the last tankful is superplus as there is no ethanol in it.

I literally park my track bikes up and leave them for months at a time without doing anything...why are people draining fluids and filling with unicorn piss for a few months of no use. If you are able to, put the battery on an optimate. That is all i would do!

Thank you! A sensible answer was all I was looking for as it's my first year of 'laying up'

Doesn't the go faster stuff still have a little bit of alcohol in it?

No idea what's in any of mine, probably cheapest possible Supermarket stuff, they've got carbs as well - I've heard of some folk loading them. I'm assuming this something else I've missed in the yearly storage plan other than just removing the key.
