I went today with my Dad and a couple of friends as usual, was enough to see and get involved in for us Midlands folk to be home later than 2pm for sure.

£25 isnt cheap I agree but its about an average day out spend on the bike anyway, plus we get Dad high on coffee and he starts playing up to the crowd, worth every penny..

She asked for his number and he asked for hers...

I see a 1986 YPVS was it a F1 or N?

Nice arse on her BTW, no wonder your Dad is looking happy.

Certainly was....and the YPVS was a rather nice Kenny Roberts rep F1.

The Missenden flyer has posted a video of the show. I've not watched it yet but his videos are usually quite good.

I went yesterday with a mate of mine and although we had a good day, I thought it was a bit lacklustre compared with previous years, the only significant new bikes IMO were the new Paigale V4 and Honda Goldwing. Trade stands were much thinner on the ground although Infinity were offering reasonable discounts, so I came home with some boots (I promised I wouldn’t buy anything!)

A good day but not a memorable show.

Back from the show today...
Highlight for me was seeing the Brough Superiors - what stunning machines and great to see the name on new bikes! They really are a work of art. Nearly sixty grand though...wow.
Apart from that it was an OK show - certainly not as many stands...no tool stands for instance which I personally like looking round. Not many bargain clothing stands either.
I probably won't go again unless I'm lucky enough to get the £10 tickets again.

had a cracking day yesterday. Spent most of the day and did not leave until 4:30. got there at 10. was busy'ish. ideal to go on a weekday. ended up going with 6 others and meeting up with another 6 who loved the day. lots to see and we all had a blast.
Some lovely bikes to see, bought a few things. Spent a while asking about trips to the US for next Oct

Makes the day better when you go with friends.

We also had a great day yesterday. I really don't understand why some people are so negative about the show. There were loads of new bikes to dribble over and between the 4 of us we saved what worked out to be £45.00/per head on our purchases.

I went today and have been every year for a while.
I probably won't bother next year. I bought a new bike earlier this year, and I'm wondering if I only went before out of curiosity before to see what might be interesting and now there is no point.
Plus, every year there are more and more mobility scooters. The number of fat old bds with too much money (or the dreamers) takes the shine off the experience for me these days.

I would agree with all of the above and add that Infinity were open to some bartering. With a bit of banter and a cheeky offer I managed to get an extra £150 off the show price of a Rukka Nivala jacket. That made a £250 saving off the list price. By combining the sale, my mate got £300 off a pair of the trousers, so well worth the £25 entry cost and a good day out too.

Had exactly the same trip up as you, Don’t get when people say about the price etc, It’s great Value, I can go to day out with the kids and it costs 4 x the price of the bike show and I have 4 x less fun, so for me it’s great value!

£159 for a 120/190 pair of Bridgestone S20 Evos was OK I thought. Didn't buy anything else as I didn't need anything.

Loved the Brough Pendine!!! Exquisite thing which I’ve arranged to have a proper viewing of with the dealer in the new year. Been looking for something a bit different from all the normal stuff... everything just seems to merge and look like one another. Almost.

The V4 Panigale is a huge disappointment. Switchgear looks like it belongs on a cheap 125. It looks slightly bloated around the front instead of sharp and light as I expected. All in all, just very ordinary, engine specs aside.

The revised uprated Multi1260 PP is very tempting as an all round road bike. (although I would still pick the GS for that plus touring)

The Harley Fat Boy was a great looker - one of the few that just looked ‘right’ for what it is. In grey/black it would be stunning.

Although it isn’t the latest thing, I was really drawn to the Tuono 1100RR (not factory). Possibly the best hooning road bike of the moment me thinks. Sublime chassis, compact, build quality is right up there, and it’s a good looker imho. It appears to be standing the test of being a couple years old, yet no one else has really bettered it. It may find its way into my garage at sone point... Tuono, Pendine, Fat Boy, Ducati...

Went on Friday, thought it was a good show, although seems to get smaller every year, bike I was most impressed with was the various CCM's on offer, looked great.

Isn’t the chassis just brilliant? You think it, and it’s just _there_. I wrote about it when it was first launched and was when the ‘envelope’ was first opened... hehe

I think the Harley stand was getting the most attention when I was there.

I really hope their bolder strides with this m/y pay off.

Just got back from the show.

I've been going regularly since the mid 80s and the whole thing is getting worse IMHO
Nothing with the WOW factor, like there used to be back in the day

25 bloody quid?! are you having a laugh?
12 quid to park the car?
yikes

it seems that most manufacturers have shot their stylist and entered a head to head battle to see who can design the ugliest bike.

Having always seen BMW riders as pipe and slippers brigade, it pains me to admit that the bike I likes the most as the BMW nineT café racer.

OMG, I've gotten old..

I love mine and think the build is excellent although I'm a bit rusty with the RR model. If that's the 17 onwards version they are a perfect package. Mines a 16 and has the older non radial master and M4 caliper. They aren't great brakes and can feel spongy and inconsistent. I'm upgrading the system over winter

As for me having got back from the show I have to admit (and I'm not old or grumpy) that I echo what others have said. It was good... Not wow. Don't care on the money side but it just didn't really excite me this year
