Are these that good? My worry is I'll need to get four after trying one laugh The old ninja certainly could do with an upgraded m/c even the most clairvoyant person would struggle to stop that bike if a kid walked out.

I don't think you need them for a road bike

Could just buy a used Nissin from eBay. The brakes were OK before it failed weren't they. And it'll free up more money for fags.

your looking at £100 ish on ebay for ones that look as fked as mine. I can only one finger brake so this might help me be more aggressive and I can use the fact its for racing so it doesn't need to make sense. I'm gonna quit smoking.......one day

What? Page 2 and Gavia hasn't been along to demand that you explain what makes you think you know more about master cylinder selection than an established mainstream motorcycle manufacturer?

More serious note: if pennies are any issue here, look around at what else is available used. I used to run an SRAD 600 as a track bike and the brakes were dire, so I fitted a radial m/c from a K6 GSXR Thou and the difference was night and day. I was, genuinely, easily able to out-brake people on far more exotic tackle (although I am also of course blessed with size 10 cojones biggrin). Seriously though, you might pick up something from a standard model which would do the job.

He has had some input into this thread at ground level, or at least his doppleganger has.

Can't believe no one has said this yet. I wouldn't take mechanical advice from Loon R1. That guy was a total fking idiot about fixing bikes. I'm glad he's gone

Hi there sweetie, not sure what I’ve done to upset you, but I’m sure you’ll get over it with a bit of therapy.

For info all of my BMW derivatives seem to have Nissin master cylimders, even the ex SS1000 one. If it’s good enough for Alistair Seeley to win a few NW200s on, then it’s good enough for me.

That bloke even had the cheek to report me to the moderators on another thread........bit cheeky (or ironic) under the circumstances.
Never mind, I only come on here to pass the time, I really should be doing something more productive.

Oh my... Granted I could have got an original new m/c for £90 less. But it came with a wee credit card authentication thing.

Yes... RRPS are excellent. If you contact them directly Brett might knock a few quid off.

The RCS19 is superb - wish hadn't sold mine.
+1 for Brett. I get most of my stuff through him now when I can. He's a decent guy, and will always help you out on costs too, so give him a ring

He took a fiver off it on eBay with offer bit. He was cheapest by miles so wasn't bothered arrived in less than 24 hours.

I had an Accossato master cylinder in my Thunderace and it was awesome. Easily the best thing I did to that bike. Not silly money like a brembo either.
I have the same on my gsxr 750 with braided lines, decent fluid and EBC GPFAX pads. I get some fade when I push hard towards the end of a moto/session whatever its called but its fine for my level

Brembo are equally as good albeit a little more expensive I found

There is a BIG difference between what comes on a bike as standard to what you can buy as an upgrade on alot of bikes. My current Tuono 1100 Factory has 'Brembo' on it but its not radial and despite braided lines and SC pads its bloody awful for anything more than a spirited road ride

Trust the comments above. A decent RCS19 setup or similar depending on what you like will make you a mini track day hero and you'll enjoy the day alot more knowing you can stop

I fitted this at the weekend but it comes with a double holed banjo bolt.

I am running original braided lines, which go over the mudguard. The thread on the existing banjo setup isn't correct for the brembo. So options.

Get a single line brembo banjo bolt.

or

Get new race lines. One from each caliper.

As I said I have the over the mudguard type, these are the original braided hoses, 10+ year old plus ones. Will I see any improvement with braking going to the race setup. By that I mean noticeable. I ask before I spent £60 on lines when a £5 bolt would do.

Do you not need separate lines for scrutineering?

If it was me I'd fit 2 new lines to go with the new M/C.

You should get the bolts/fitings if you buy a kit.
