Top man. If you see a chap on a red Africa Twin waving in admiration of your CCM around East Lothian it's me.
Will do. I'm in the Gifford area, and the CCM is just the machine for a wee blast over the hills via Longformacus to Duns, then a huge choice of Borders back roads to play in. It's not going to see much running until next summer. Open conical filter precludes riding in the rain, and there's no fun running in freezing conditions either, and I have the GS for those sort of days anyway.
If you want to see it in the flesh, pm me and we can discuss that further.

I see Saltire have a charity run down the Borders way on Sunday - OK, Galashiels and Peebles so not quite 'your' Borders but South of Edinburgh anyway...which is bandit country to me, but if it's a decent day I'll venture down and risk life and limb with the natives.
I'm borders. There's some great roads here (A701 & A708 for starters) but I'm all about Dumfries & Galloway at the moment as I'm feeling a bit like I've overdone the highlands these last few years. Dumfries has of windy roads and single track/forrestry commission stuff around the forrest which is great (maybe the latter not so good on the Indian). If you can avoid the A75/A77 there's bugger all tourist traffic too.Hired a cottage and took the family there the other week, brought the adventure bike and crashed it on an unclassified forresty road miles from help. Tremendous.
