-30C here today, bikes are staying in the garage. Went for a hike yesterday in -20C, nearly froze my face off.

Went and did an enduro practice day today with MotorsportTom, my first time doing any proper off-road really, done some green lanes but that was about it.
Cracking day, feeling it now though, can imagine tomorrow is going to be worse! Swapped bikes for half a lap, toms KTM is an awesome little bike, I did manage to crash it though rolleyeslaugh

Hopefully some more exciting pictures uploaded later!

Some of my family live in Canada and tell me it goes that cold but doesn't feel it due to it being dry? They said you soon know about it though if you're not wrapped up properly

England cold is damp and bitter. Either that or I'm a southern softy...

That's true, down to about -10C, doesn't feel as "in your bones" cold as the UK can. But holy sh!t this weekend is really frickin' cold.

This was the sight which greeted me this morning furious

Luckily the bikes weren't touched, nothing taken at all. My guess is that it was kids, otherwise surely things would have been gone? There are loads of tools, a few sets of alloys, 3 bikes and god knows what else in there!!

Lucky escape there! Maybe they were interrupted and legged it? I'd move everything you can out of there for now.

Fix it, lock yourself in, await their return and dominate the garage.

Was a great day! Weather couldn't have been better for this time of year and the track ended up being pretty decent after all the loose stuff had gone.

Off-road bikes are meant to be crashed and it saved me doing it so thanks biggrin

Keep an eye on the track n trail facebook page as Belinda (the photographer) usually sticks the photos on there thumbup

Wow you really were lucky. I had a garage door like this and other than the alarm and cameras I only had one of those T Bars on the bottom. I see a spat of break-ins so decided to get a more robust setup

Maybe a strange way of warning you how easy it is to open and that you need to up the security there

It'll do mate, to be honest with my luck it could of been worse, its a slightly bizarre set of circumstances that got me those point though, driving back from taking the lad to the mx track I decided to drive home a different way, 1st time in 5 years rolleyes , then I decided to speed in my van on a road I never speed on rolleyes

After all that some idiot I don't like speaking to the week before warned me of the new stealth mobile camera vans hiding on the a610 , obviously I didn't listen rolleyes

To top it all off I turn 51 in march and have had to come to the conclusion I cannot cook my microwave food any more without wearing pound shop reading glasses for cooking instruction mad

Bit of a late reply but you're right, it's the wake up call I needed. The bikes are now under armed guard in the nearby barracks until I get some security sorted!!!! There's no power in the garage so I've been looking at wireless PIR alarms with a SIM card along with some physical security (ground anchor maybe?)

I know it’s not everyone’s taste, but, oh yes please!
Triumph factory custom Thruxton limited edition. A bit more power, further suspension upgrade and compulsory carbon fibre = lots of want from me!

Yep that would work and cost £5 a month to keep the sim active. I did this with a GPS and tbh only had to top up every 3 months

Also if you can get to the roof you can get solar panels for dirt cheap off fleabay. I have a box trailer I use for racing with a leisure battery, a 2000w inverter and a 22w solar panel on the roof. The solar panel does more than enough to trickle charge the battery and the inverter means I have alot of power when need be but 240v at any time

Plus alot of these alarms etc can run on 12v which is friendly on the battery drain. Im no wiz kid with this stuff I had to learn as I went along but it certainly worked for me
