A picture a day...biker banter (Vol 5)

Had a day out on the Yamaha Niken yesterday. Really interesting bike, much more nimble than I was expecting. Steering feels a little heavy at low speeds(below 15mph) but fairly normal above that. Fantastic in the corners, loads of grip and really confidence inspiring. Doesnt feel heavy to me (260kg) kind of adv bike weight. Seat isnt high but its quite wide. Living in a country with lots of bends, questionable road surfaces and a wee bit of rain it sort of makes sense

I heard a rumour of snow(!) next week so first trip of the year on the BM today , done a tank full on the back roads of Northants and Bucks...was great to get back out on it.
Cracking photo, yesterday was my 1st outing also this year, I think we made a good call as the weather has turned today, how did you find the roads? There still covered in salt hear with all the white dust but enjoyable all the same. Yogioes said:
It's hard to believe it's February in Scotland. A couple of great days for biking. Just over 500 miles covered.
Monday, near Amulree
Looks like the wee road that goes over Glen Quaich, and then the blind hairpins down into Kenmore. Ride that route a couple of times a year and luckily never met a car coming the other way on the Kenmore-side bends - that would be a challenge! But the run through the Sma' Glen is a favorite, although I did hit a bloody great pheasant through there that took out my headlamp, and thankfully nothing else.Monday, near Amulree
...and yes, if I saw that bike on the road I'd be on very best behavior.
