Tap tap tappety ! Didn’t do too bad for 30 years and 35k Km’s . Couple of baggy inlets and one tight exhaust but apart from that they were all middle of the spec. Should make balancing the carbs a doddle after a strip and clean I’ve just done on them too.

Ah, I've never seen a 250 Stinger, only the 125. Was it an American or Japanese market name?

EDIT:
Or, having expanded my search criteria, did you mean the quad? smile

Intriguing. I initially though T/GT500 but then saw that the header pipes are inside the frame rails...Anyone?

ETA: T350 Rebel?

EATA

I know the side panels are different, but the motor and exhaust position looks right

Looking harder the pic, does that side panel have a 2 on it?

197* T250

Definitely 250 Hustler. Look at fork shroud/headlight behind numberboard. Plus zooming in you can see the 2 on the side panel.

First bike I rode at 12!

1st prototype for a Aim Solo 2 Lap Timer, protective case that I knocked up for a pal of mine this weekend.

Few minor tweaks I want to make to it myself as it's not perfect, but I will let him trial fit it to his bike first and incorporate any changes he requires at the same time.

ETA:
If anybody else is wanting anything similar just drop me a line and I'll be happy to help out.
I also ran off some paddock stand bobbins and bar end sliders for my little Benelli, so even small basic stuff can be done too if required.

Sorry about the late reply.

I was thinking about the 250 model with the high level exhaust

While there has been lots of debate on the bike, I haven't seen comments on the riding position. We used to do that - at the time it made you feel as cool as hell, a proper serious speed-freak biker - but looking back probably made no difference whatsoever apart from being extremely unsafe and making you look like a tt to anyone else who wasn't 'in the know'.

I remember putting it to good use in what must have been the late 70s at Knockhill. Security on race practice days was non-existent. My mate was racing in sidecars at the time and you could just ride in to the paddock, and when the production bikes went out and the track was quite just pop out for a wee spin round on your road bike.

I had a Z900 at the time that had the standard high-wide bars that hung you out like a spinnaker; so on the straight it was passenger pegs down and feet on them, left hand holding the left front indicator and only the right hand on the bars. Then as per the pic, left hand down to do a clutchless hand-change off the gear lever. Bloody silly in retrospect, but it gave you the 'going for it 100%' feel. The foolishness of youth...

Did you print those sliders in nylon? I'm still using PLA when I remember the printer exists, so haven't got to upgrading to nylon temperatures yet :P.

They were printed in ASA which is pretty much like ABS as far as I'm aware.

My printer isn't in an enclosure either and I had zero issues at all. They were only fairly small parts though and pretty solid, so when I come to print something like that cover above, I will keep the room door closed and have another little heater in the room to keep the ambient air temp fairly high.

oi, clever clogs, Can you do knee sliders which have been pre-slid? Asking for a friend. Don't worry about if they will slide or not, the bike has seen more lean on the side stand .

I could.
I could even emboss them with 'BobSaunders friend is a riding god' for you .... sorry, for your friend.

Then there would be no debate about your manliness.
