Yeah it does, thinking of buying it to be honest, I couldn't ride it home with that on, I doubt it'd fit in the garage either!!I thought this deserved a wider audience. It (or a copy of it) was in this month's Vintage Motorcycle Club comic and it just blew me away. Sums up everything that's fun on bikes with age no limit. The VMCC pic doesn't have the bottom of the wheels cropped, but this is all I could find on the interweb.
In terms of facts, it's Eric Oliver (3 times sidecar world champion) with a (16 year old?) Steve Allen as passenger. Allegedly out for a parade lap with Eric in a tweed suit but lapped everyone else twice. I just thought it was a glorious photo.

The son of "Titch" Allen, who founded the VMCC?In terms of facts, it's Eric Oliver (3 times sidecar world champion) with a (16 year old?) Steve Allen as passenger. Allegedly out for a parade lap with Eric in a tweed suit but lapped everyone else twice. I just thought it was a glorious photo.
It always amuses me that the Vintage Motor Cycle Club, for pre-1931 bikes, was created in 1946. However, thinking about it, Allen was 31 in 1946 - perhaps a 2005 bike seems old to a 30 year old now.

16 years ago seems like yesterday to me, and bikes from 2005 are just, well, no different from current bikes, really.
But I'm not 30.

Finally got my Z650 / 1170 on its wheels for the first time, a pita to make the ZRX12 swing arm fit the much modified frame..
Hopefully it wil be worth it though. My 1979 Z650 felt like it had a hinge in the middle.
My KH500 handled far better, but then it did have an alloy box-section swinging arm with Marzocchi piggy-back shocks.
Looking forward to seeing the final result.
