I saw the second picture you posted and thought it was fish eye lens distortion going on.

It looks in good nick once you've taken the riot shield off

Yeah it does, thinking of buying it to be honest, I couldn't ride it home with that on, I doubt it'd fit in the garage either!!

If you do go, just make sure he hasn't got any more spare body bags that he's trying to dispose of in the recycling binbiggrin

First road ride in a month. Had to adjust my head to road speeds, bike felt weird but really enjoyed the evening ride and felt like a teenager buying Wiz sparky sliders scuffing them about

Long way home through dartmoor before rejoining the M5 at Exeter after a few days touring bits of Cornwall.

Heavy M5 traffic meant the neck and wrists took a battering was really quite a miserable ride home.
What Kriega combo have you got there? Can't tell if its a 30+20 or 20+10.

Funnily enough, I was laid off this year, so I started my own business. A different type of stress, but at least I can take time off when I want (albeit only 1 day every couple of weeks, and I generally work weekends too . smile

I thought this deserved a wider audience. It (or a copy of it) was in this month's Vintage Motorcycle Club comic and it just blew me away. Sums up everything that's fun on bikes with age no limit. The VMCC pic doesn't have the bottom of the wheels cropped, but this is all I could find on the interweb.

In terms of facts, it's Eric Oliver (3 times sidecar world champion) with a (16 year old?) Steve Allen as passenger. Allegedly out for a parade lap with Eric in a tweed suit but lapped everyone else twice. I just thought it was a glorious photo.

The son of "Titch" Allen, who founded the VMCC?

It always amuses me that the Vintage Motor Cycle Club, for pre-1931 bikes, was created in 1946. However, thinking about it, Allen was 31 in 1946 - perhaps a 2005 bike seems old to a 30 year old now.

I don't understand the amusement.

That's amusing in the sense of interesting, entertaining rather than funny.

16 years ago seems like yesterday to me, and bikes from 2005 are just, well, no different from current bikes, really.

But I'm not 30. smile

That in 1946, 1931 bikes really weren't that old

Although if it was for Pre 1900 bikes it would have been a very small club laugh

Hopefully it wil be worth it though. thumbup

My 1979 Z650 felt like it had a hinge in the middle. eek

My KH500 handled far better, but then it did have an alloy box-section swinging arm with Marzocchi piggy-back shocks.

Looking forward to seeing the final result. thumbup
