Triggered by the Benelli in the how many bikes thread...

My 'grail bike is the MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 RR. Just love it, still not sure if I will ever own one due to the variable nature of MV's bank account, but we'll see.

Plus I'd have to get rid of the FZ-09 as it's a very similar bike...

Post a pic too.

My obsession was always the Triumph Daytona, the bike I had wanted since before I could even ride a bike. I've had one since 2015.

For me it's the Desmosedici. Too stiff for the road, too uncompromising, too hot, not that fast nowadays either, but my God I'd love one!!

It’s old, heavy, not very fast, has skinny tyres and shaft drive.
Perfect.
When I get a nice one, I promise to keep it very clean and park it in my lounge.

Still would love an RC45, just gutted to have missed the opportunity years ago at a much more palatable price.

Original 1998 R1 in red/white, the bike I fawned over when it was released, I was a college kid at the time and would still love to own one.

Although I love 1990’s Japanese sports bike, I’ve always wanted an early 1970’s US Spec T120 Bonnie, I think it’s as close to perfection as a motorcycle should be. There is not a bad angle, it’s just stunning. They probably ride like ste, but that’s not the point.

Yes, absolutely stunning.

I had a 1969 USA export 650cc TR6 in maroon in 1972, but the previous original owner took the original upswept pipes off and replaced them with short megaphones....fool. (Sold it for £365) grumpy

My ultimate want

My first love, as a kid if anyone asked it was one of these!

Well it's either this or an nsr500... both just as unobtainable to mere mortals such as myself.

An RC30 would be a close second, IMO the most beautiful sports bike ever made.

For me, it would have to be an early '90s Honda CBR600 F2 in Rothmans colours. cloud9

Isn't that like the one they restored on the motorcycle show? Why US spec, what makes it better/different?

I'm with you on that, but I'd want a green H2!

Mind you I did sort of get two-thirds of the way there 20 years ago! (Apologies for the photo quality - it was taken on a point and shoot camera before digital came along).

Every logical bone in my body says they are stupid, unreliable, slow, inefficient. But I do love them to bits. Never owned one, dream would be to buy one in Russia and ride it back, would need to be a '06 onwards model when they started fitting good components, Brembo disks, Ducati ignition, Japanese electronics.

Never owned it and never will, this is the only one still in existence as far as I can tell!
