Hey Guys,

Just to let you all know. The 4C production will be ending permanently in July 2018.

Get your orders in now if you want one as dealers will have limited availability.

Good news for residuals.

Keeping mine. biggrin

Yes, some comments on other threads suggesting there will be a 4C Final Edition launched in March as a sendoff, orders will stop in Apr or May, while production will stop in May, June or July. And it will be replaced by a 6C in 2019.

It will be very interesting to see what happens to 4C values over the next few years.
The only Alfa that seems to have gone up in value recently is the 156 GTA. Initially when production stopped in 2005 values continued to fall and its only in the last few years that values have risen. Maybe due to only a few decent cars being left.

Its a limited edition carbon fibre tubbed Alfa C car. Prices are only going to go one way in the medium to long term.
In the short term they will hold steady with a floor around £30k.

The 6C will NOT be a £40-50k motor so it won't matter a jot against a 4C.
And whatsmore you aren't going to see it before 2020.

This is really not rocket science to work out.

Some forums are now suggesting the order book for the 4C will close on Fri 16 Mar, 2018.

The 4C will be gone forever in just a few weeks.

Well values are terrible at the moment that is for sure. My 2016 coupe in Comp red is giving dealers a terrible time trying to trade it in. Apparently most Alfa Dealers do not want it and the best price so far is from a specialist indy at £33k! This is for a near £60k car. I can see prices dropping even further if dealers have new stock they are willing to discount to shift.

I'm saving for one at the moment hoping to get one near the end of this year so I am watching prices like a hawk! I am in Spain and the cheapest one I have seen was a 2014 Coupe at 44k euro at a dealers and that seemed to sell pronto. If speculators start buying them up I will be effed off!

Wouldn't be a surprise to see some of the 2014 models touching £20-25k retail by the end of 2018. There are only a few hundred on the road, so the 4C remains a very rare car, but the relentlessly bad press reviews at launch and very high servicing costs (~£1k) have finally caught up with it. Could be some incredible bargains for second-hand buyers out there in the coming months.

What are you looking to replace it with? I also have a 2016 Comp red coupe and out of interest I put the details into a dealers valuation calculator and they came back with a bid of over 37k.

Cayman 718 or Audi TTS (I know, I need more of a daily driver!)

Nothing back from Audi (their used calculator is saying £36500) 2 Porsche centres are struggling apparently all the Alfa dealers they have called don't want stock or are offering silly prices.

Which dealer did you get the bid from out of interest?

I doubt you will see any under 30K to be honest. Maybe a super high miles example. The mileage shouldn't put anyone off mind as the engine and gearbox is solid.

A few have been hovering around £30-32k in recent weeks, so it wouldn't take a massive dip to send them well into the 20s.

Some brandnew 2017 coupes were discounted down to £40-42k last year, so that has put some downward pressure on prices of used models.

Cant see prices dropping below 30 unless the car is very high mileage, tatty or someones desperate to sell

Once more real enthusiasts get hold of them & realise what a great car it is to live with & how cheap it is to run then the market will firm & then slowly rise. Ok keep one for 20 years & sure it will be worth good money but its so much more fun just piling miles on the car

Compared to average depreciation they are doing Ok

The AA recon a car looses 40 % in its first year & 60% after 3 http://www.theaa.com/car-buying/depreciation
