Ducati's always go well here and there's little chance of rain.
Thinking Lorenzo to pick up his first Ducati win.

Highlights on C5, Wednesday!
Wednesday?? So glad I signed up to Virgin and got BT Sport back. I found C5's coverage unreliable. It was meant to be on Monday nights so the day after the race and most the time it wasn't. Their online catch up service was also pretty sketchy.

Marqez will win in 2018, but I think the big news will be Rossi's possible retirement. I recon Dorna will be more concerned with that compared to who wins the championship.

I reckon Dovi, Zarco, Rossi. I'm flying out in a few hours for race weekend (first time to Qatar) and looking forward to the whole thing finally kicking off again.

Is that corporate entertainment gig? Qatar always look the race with the least atmosphere.

No retirement as of yet, he's just signed!

I don’t get this at all. I know he’s desperate for that 10th title, but the older he gets the less likely it is and last year was far from a great year for him. Pedrosa gets dogs abuse for his performance, but Rossi is performing worse than him based on last year.

What happens if this year is a really bad one for him? I don’t see him winning any races at all, short of one of those weird races where the others all fall off. Lorenzo will be more competitive this year, so that’s another rider for him to contend with. How will he justify a factory ride, when others will possibly lose their ride for better performances?

I loved watching Rossi in his pomp, and in his youth it was great watching him “play” with the rest of the field before deciding to pull the pin and clear off into the distance. I think he’s tarnishing legacy by carrying on, the incident a few years back didn’t help him either.

No doubt I’m going to get slaughtered for daring to question Rossi, but please re-read the first sentence of the paragraph just above this one.

It's a valid point, I love watching Rossi and the sport will be worse off without him but is he realistically able to challenge for it anymore? He's still up there but I just don't think he's able to do that extra, unquantifiable thing that's required to consistently win. I don't doubt his commitment but I just don't think he can still do it.

I'd love to see him win a 10th but look at the results over the last few years

2008 9 wins
2009 6 wins
2010 2 wins
2011 0 wins
2012 0 wins
2013 1 win
2014 2 wins
2015 4 wins
2016 2 wins
2017 1 win

Prior to 2008 he had a whole bunch of years where you could only describe him as dominating the series where he won the majority of races. We just haven't seen that from him in almost 10 years. I'd love to be posting at the end of the season that I was wrong and he has an awesome season but just can't see it.

God knows who will win though!

Its true that I am a Rossi fan-boy, its nothing to be ashamed of. If he doesn't win the race or score well or even finish it doesn't bother me one jot, I just like the racing and in Moto GP whoever wins the race or the championship deserves it.

I just like the racing.

I hear you, to say im looking forward to soaking up some moto gp action is an understatement, its the only reason I renewed my bt sports. I am also gutted if rossi bins it on race day and then hope for my second option . I think we all agree its been a long winter and roll on 2018 moto gp seasons,
