Would neutral light not working stop bike from starting?

Took a closer look at the wires. Think I may have found some problems?
Seven pin connector has nothing to connect to, two loose wires that have nothing to connect to and chocolate boxes!
Apart from the red one, none of the connectors have anything to connect to. same goes for the loose wires, apart from indicators.
Chocolate box that isn't protected from the elements. good job I have it under a cover!
Another chocolate box and loose wire that has nothing to connect to!
Another connector with nothing to connec to, more chocolate boxes and two wires with nothing to connect to!
There is a two wire connector on the fuel tank but it also has nothing to connect to!!

You need a wiring diagram, a multimeter and to get back to basics.
I've got a multimeter, Haynes manual and a crimping set which includes wire connectors from alfords. reasonably priced too!!Also got myself the correct switchgear for left and right and a replacement headlight lens complete with removable bulb. the one I got with the bike is a sealed unit, I don't like the idea where you can't replace the bulb, if and when it blows
I'm still toying with the idea of buying a second hand wire harness from the bay or buying some of those multi pin connectors, and try and finnish what the previous owner tried to do.
