So what is the "ultimate colour combination?"

Been looking at lots of used Mercedes ads this weekend. Hilarious how so many claim to be the "ultimate colour combination" even when they evidently are not. So, appreciate it depends what the car is and personal tastes, but any views/pictures on what really is the "ultimate colour combination"?
I have to say, for me it is a light interior, dark interiors do nothing for me, and also get dirtier looking far too quickly.
I do like the deep metallic blues, a bit brighter than navy but not far off, and love a deep red as long as it doesn't have a hint of orange and more blue hue if that makes sense?

I am afraid my default colour is silver. It will always sell (well so far it has), and is probably the best at not showing road dirt. Apart from bird droppings, I am a believer in, the more you wash a car the more you scratch it. Now, it would be nice if you could alter the colour, a bit like a desktop screen-saver (which are no longer needed to save/protect the screen).
If I did not have to live with it, I would like to vary mine to all the different marmalade colours, lime, Seville, tawny, golden shred. Maybe throw in an occasional marmite and peanut butter in too. Perhaps, blancmange or Eton Mess too. Knickerbocker glory, anyone?

Really, I have been looking for an F11 5 series touring, all the ones I like the age/spec/mileage/price are all silver, so I have disregarded them. Silver and that light sky blue are colours that just do nothing for me.
Also, they often come with black interiors which doesn't help, with kids black carpet and plastics show up the dirt so quickly.
I think it depends on the car itself. Yellow may work on something like a Lotus Elise but would look hideous on a Jaguar XJ.
I find silver a very boring colour on 90% of cars. It suits my OH's dad's SL500 but I've currently got a Saab 9-3 that just looks like someone couldn't be bothered to pick a colour
. It has a grey/beige interior combo which looks nice but further adds to the dullness factor when joined to the silver paint. Shame cos it's a comfy, economical and quick enough but just looks dull.

Must be silver (or shades various thereof) with black interior or black with black interior, as just about 95% of every Merc I see seems to be these two combinations.....!!jamei303 said:

Currently Mercedes have probably the most dreary depressing colour range of any manufacturer. Endless silvers & 'tarmac' greys, solid red black & white (think fleet car) a too bright a blue & ONE nice metallic red for which Mercedes take the piss in terms of premium when new. Some nice two-tone interiors though.
EVERY Mercedes seems to be silver with black interior so very very boring. How invisible do you want to be?
Metallic black with cream interior my personal favourite & as I'm not a blonde tart NEVER with red bodywork.
For daily use black a pain to keep looking clean so maybe the silvery/blue metallic with anything other than black leather interior.
Now try to find that combo. - good luck.

Most of them are silver anyway so not the most interesting range haha. Between me and my partner, we own three Mercs and they're all silver! 
I'm not sure there's an ultimate combination of colours, in my mind that is. I think it depends on the car. If we're talking of Mercs then I have been looking at S Class' from 2007/2008 and I think they look fantastic in black with a cream interior. Just a really nice contrast of colours.
By contrast I think hot hatches look great in brighter colours. The new Megane RS looks great in that new orange, as did the Clio 200 in liquid yellow or the n/a model in alien green.
Using it as a sales term is a load of nonsense though. It's very much down to the individual what they consider to be the best colour combination really.
