Eugene Laverty going well in practice on the Aprilia.
As things stand neither look like being in WSBK next season.

No sympathy at all for Laverty, he could have stayed in MotoGP, but thought he deserved a new Ducati more than Bautista in a Spanish team, lol so ponced off to SBK to ride a bike he should have been miles quicker.

And really like Michael, he needs sacking for wearing his ears inside his hat, and for having a stupid tache. All fair enough reasons to lose a ride really.

Kiyo? Did he get his mojo back? He did nothing in BSB and looked like he'd lost his edge.

I'm well aware of that but it's no use having a strong bond and not having a strong will to win.

You seen the latest?
Kiyo won last race in the All Japan JSB1000 championship & has signed up in WSBK with Althea on the HRC/Moriwaki FireBlade similar I guess to what was in the JSB races.
Moriwaki seem to have created a bike he has taken to which is always a Kiyo issue. If he doesn't like the bike/tyres he can struggle so hopefully he has overcome that.
Would be nice to see some of his old form back.

Mixed progress for Shakey's neck, so still unclear if he is able to race next season

Had no idea about this, Tom Booth Amos in Moto3 next year, great for the lad.

He’s just dragging it out as much as possible to ensure his sponsors carry on paying him into 2019. I reckon he’ll agree to ride, do half a lap and retire.

Alongside Darryn Binder at CIP, he will be a good measure for Tom.

Laverty for me is slightly serving a sentence he bought on himself.

Could have stayed with Ducati in 17, was offered the ride Abraham eventually got, yes it was less of a bike than Alvaro was gonna get, but Alvaro is a world champ, podium man on GP bikes, so he ran tot he money at Aprilia, did nothing and is now done coz BMW wanted Reiterberger and Honda are loyal to Kiyonari.

He could have had a couple more years in MotoGP, had a fabuloous year in 16, best he has ever ridden in my eyes, and threw it all in, much lie Rea, coz he didn't get the bestbike.

Welcome to GP racing fella, you are unproven there, you have to earn it, or be Spanish lol

Isn't Gino Rea staying with OMG Suzuki?

Can't be that good on the bike, he was 9th in the Championship and it's not exactly BSB quality. I like Kiyo, when he's on form he is immense and he loves my local track at Oulton Park so I've seen some incredible performances by him first hand, but he lost it a few seasons ago and I'll be surprised if he succeeds back in WSBK next year. Waste of a seat in my mind when there are a few much more deserving riders without a ride.

Not sure what you mean by "much like Rea"?
JR battled with an average Honda for 7(?) years with minimal factory support. As a reward he got a couple of fill-in MotoGP rides. Jumps ship to Kawasaki and no-one can get near him - not even his own team-mate.
