here it is... its bloody good for the money, its not a professional gun where its stripped and rebuilt many times a day, but its fantastic for the money

the paint is 2K clear over base. I also use 2K primer which is fantastic. Cellulose is a very poor these days in comparison to 2K. you do have to use an air fed mask though...

I like the colour mate. Looks a bit different.

Did Ducati ever use that orange then?
Thanks, I wanted a bit different... and I have always liked orange. In fact I have a bit of a theme going! biggrinbiggrin

I think Ducati did do some Monsters in a redish orange!

Historically yes, I had a 1968 250 Scrambler in orange.

I love a Jota, is that a 120 or a 180?

I do admire your skill but there's no way that that seat and that tank belong on the same bike.

I think it would look ace with a single seat version of the original Multisrada seat on it, maybe even the underseat exhaust.

I'm wondering how it'd look with the knee space parts of the tank in black, might resolve the lines a bit.
The colour kinda makes me think of opal fruits.

I'm wondering if painting the lower part of the tank which is inline with the top of the seat in a dark colour (e.g. same colour as seat material) would help to hide the bulkiness?

With no where near the level of skill as you I am currently playing with a CB1300, looking at spraying the tank candy orange and trying to reduce the appearance of the tank size by using a black section a bit like a combined version of the old CB400/750 scheme of the 1970's and the red and white CB1300 scheme.

Exactly what I was getting at, looks good. Now rotate the seat anti clockwise about 25 degrees so the orange of that lines up with the tank wink

Or maybe leave a strip at the bottom orange?
Apologies as I've done this on my phone, but if you squint..
Plastidip or a soft touch/matt vinyl wrap?

I like that, you could possibly carry the orange of the seat base forward as well thumbup

Lol at the painting skills. You're not going to get a job in the Apple marketing dept biggrin

I think it would help to tie the two completely different shapes together. OP, if you're interested, maybe use some black tape / stickers to see how it could work?

Ultimately, I do agree as said a few pages ago, the tank isn't right for the seat unit.

Absolutely love that!

The orange works great and the proportions and everything are spot on. It's easy to go too far with these builds too and you've not done that at all.

Nice work!

I like that, it looks 'lean'.
