Was overseas so the S1 was garaged and not used. Now wanting to get the car back on road.

Just throw battery in and try to start her up? Or what do you recommend?

(I do intend to take the car to a reputable local indy after starting for a more overall check up)

The fuel's most likely to be a problem after that amount of time, how much is in the tank?

If the fuel in the tank smells off, I'd not try starting it. But if it's ok, check the levels, hook a battery and give her a whirl!

You could always disconnect the fuel line at the engine, get a container, prime the pump and see the condition of the fuel that comes out.

Thanks all - about half a tank I think. With the weather warming I think yes, I'll give it a go and see what happens smile
