Racing on the national circuit again this weekend, it brought up some fantastic racing last year. The weather looks fantastic for all three days too.

Favourites to win anyone?

Redding, Brooke's and Bridewell the ones to watch for me.

I created a thread earlier this week and no one else posted, was surprised by the lack of interest.

Looking like it will be one of the best seasons in a log time.

Ah sorry mate, didn't realise.

Yeah theres loads of potential champions, and even more potential race winners.

I would love to see Brad Ray have a good season, he fell off the pace after the first couple of rounds last year.

Im hoping Jason O features very strongly this year.

45 - Im not sure right now, could be win or lose for Scott.

Brookes has to see this as almost a last chance to win the title again.

Tommy is a heart on sleeve rider, and like him for that. He is also a sunday man, so time will tell.

JG fielding a very weak (for them) squad, so again, will have to see what happens.

Mossy needs to find some results and form again. Im probably wrong, but I feel his couple of big offs last year have shaken him hard.

Hope Linny does well.

So many possibilities in BSB, which is what makes it the series we all love.

I'm really looking forward to this - not least because it will all be live on Quest!

I'm gutted Shakey won't be taking part, but I can understand why.

I'd like to see Luke Moss regain some of the form he showed in late 2017, and I always hope Peter Hickman does well - so much respect for someone who has recorded the fastest lap around the TT circuit! thumbup

But as always, it will be fascinating.

Mossey I think you mean!

In reality of Brookes does not win on that rocketship, there is something wrong. But my tip would be Jason O.

Redding is in for a surprise me thinks

Ive never liked Farmer, always thought he was dangerous.....

"Race Direction Judicial Decision: #33 (Keith Farmer) drop of 6 grid positions for BSB race 1 and 2 penalty points for causing a collision/crash involving #46 (Tommy Bridewell) at Turn 5 during FP2."

Definitely! How tight is that grid? Some proper speedy chaps still a long way down sorting out early season pace.

Will be out for a rare jaunt on my bike on Sunday morning and medieval re-enactment stuff in the afternoon but will watch it that evening as a BSBBQ!

Such a poxy track to run Superbikes on, must be a reason they are not running a longer version?

After the issues at last years MGP, BSB ran the safe option of the National circuit to avoid issues.

The National is a pure scratchers layout and a LOT of the riders enjoyed.

The circuit has not yet been resurfaced as you are aware, so its a total no brainer to run the Nat circuit again.... ?

I really wish I understood your stance on bike racing, becuase it does seem like you hate everything about it generally.

Doh, brain fade moment there. rolleyes

Not looking too good for Hicky though. frown

Great result for Tarran Mackenzie in FP2 though. He showed a lot of promise towards the end of last season, so could spring some surprises this season - so long as he can stay on it. laugh

Really looking forward to this!

Simply put the track they are using is the club layout for club racing, always has been for cars and bikes. The odler short track they used that looped to Abbey was fine, good layout for passing etc and some great racing over teh years until that God awful chicane was put in about 04. But even then, watching them power out of there sideways was fun.

Obviously I get why MSV prefer to use ii over the big track, but for the one date a year they go there, would just be nice to be on the proper track.

How is it that one simple comment means I don't like bike racing, you people need to read between the lines as everything I say on here gets taken completely out of proportion.

It's a simple comment about them using a fairly average track for a national championship. Bit like using Donington without the loop or the short Oulton or Brands. Just not a fan of big meetings on those tracks, but I know why it's done. OK?
