Classic CBR 600 as first bike?

Congrats on passing, it looks a bit pricey that but it looks very clean and tidy apart from the wky indicators, its the dealer markup I guess, privately it'd be around £2.5k as clean ones hold their value well, now's the time to be buying bikes as the 'season' is pretty much over for most, a lowball offer might help, but I don't think the price is unreasonable from a dealer if you are getting a decent warranty and all the consumables are fresh.
I take it the indicators aren't standard? I might pop in and see it tomorrow see what movement they have on it. This also looks worth a look about an hour up the road from me - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CBR600F-2012-very...

Bloody hell you've got a sharp eye I can't even see that now you've pointed it out. moanthebairns said:
Scratched bung could be just putting it down on the side in the garage.I have much smaller (=less high) bungs on my CBR600F4i and I put it down on the side three times, all without sliding.
I touched the fairing a little (tiny scratch), I bent the lever, but the engine cases never touched ground.
Curious, why are mini indicators a problem?

But mainly because they look fking st, they don't fit the looks of the bike, the quality is pish, the previous owner splices every fking wire trying to fit them because they tend to have the mechanical dexterity of a fish....i could go on.

Well for a kick off motorbikes are hard enough to be seen at the best of the time, why people would then put piss poor smaller indicators on it is beyond me.

I'd love some decent indicators for mine, as the OE ones are just plastic ste, but no-one does decent sized ones that don't look like arse. Some nice aluminium ones with decent LEDs that are brighter than standard and don't look like ste, with the right wiring connectors please!

Well with a bit of luck today could be the day I get my first bike. Going to see a 2002 CBR F4i with 42k on the clock in red. It’s got a few desirable upgrade such as a gear indicator, power commander, crash bobbins and the only downside for me is a lowered seat.
If it all checks out I’ll be riding it home today, can’t wait. Will update with pics.
How easy is it to source a new seat as padding has been removed from this one for a shorter rider?

So to say I'm happy with the bike is an understatement. I've spent the best part of 4 hours playing on it today.
I've been brave enough to take it higher in the rev range on a few occasions, only in first and second gear, but holy hell it's quick, murderously quick, it took my breath away. I can't imagine how a litre bike must feel, this feels like its too quick for the road, hell it's just too quick for me anywhere.
That being said it just as comfortable pottering around in the lower revs it's probably easier and better to ride than the 600s a learnt on. I've spent a lot of time worrying I'm too big for the bike at 6-4, but I'm pleased to say it's very comfortable no issues what so ever, I may be a bit stiff in the morning but we'll see.
I've just tucked it away in the garage for the night I really can't believe how much bike £1200 buys you and how good it looks for a 17-year-old bike. First, mod or mod removal was completed this afternoon to take some ghastly stickers off the bike with the wife's hairdryer. I think I'll take it into my local service centre for the once over I may even treat the old girls to a new chain, sprocket and a service.
