Why do they use the old pit lane/start line and not the flashy new complex?
Not enough space for MotoGP, 2 and 3.

Because, under terms agreed with F1 / Bernie up until now (this was last year of that "old" deal, don't know about the new Liberty deal), other, specified series that "competed" with F1 on the world stage, were banned from using it. More specifically designed to keep MotoGP out of it.

Stupid, childish bks.

Are you sure ?

I thought it was to keep all the grid together in the pit area ?

If they use the new wing ( and they were saying on bt looks like they will be 2020) they'd have to split the paddock , so gp right behind the new wing and moto 3 and 2 behind the old pits and they wanted to avoid it .

thanks, seems an oversight/cop out to build the new facilities so small? I guess they just figured with retaining the old pits they could spread the load. Maybe should have put the new pits on the Wellington straight then had two pits with a combined paddock.

& Teddy Lop;

You may well be right then, apologies - could have sworn that back in 2011/12, when the mythical Ebbw Vale circuit fell through, could have sworn I read in several places that the FIA (read Bernie) decided to make Dorna's life difficult, so that they moved out of Silverstone ASAP.

Alex Hofmann asked Lando Norris, who is at the race and met VR46 for the first time, if Lando wants to be like MM93 - the fastest man but on 4 wheels.

Lando said: "That's the aim, but I would rather be like Valentino than like Mark."

Not politically correct that. laughbeer

Rins looks like he's out for a Sunday afternoon ride - very upright, smooth and relaxed compared to Marquez - and very fast with it.

laugh

Norris a McLaren boy though - not big Honda fans!

Marcs a funny one though, I mean you have to objectively accept at this point we're witnessing the crowning of one of the greats but I struggle to feel the special in some way I can't quite define.
