I thought he'd made a mistake as my mate runs a CRF250 and it makes 26bhp but MCN said:
"When seeing the spec sheet of the 450L many thought that there had been a mistake on the bhp figure. Honda claim 24bhp, which is practically the same as the 250L and around 20bhp less than you would expect from a modern 450cc single. But there is no mistake, to increase service intervals and meet strict Euro4 regulations 24bhp is all you have."
For that money you'd have to have a KTM/Husqy surely? Their Gucci bikes are that money and loads more power despite being euro 4."When seeing the spec sheet of the 450L many thought that there had been a mistake on the bhp figure. I like 90's cars and only buy newer ones due to rust issues, with that not being a problem on bikes, unless you need euro 4, why are people buying new bikes ?
The majority are toys and run by enthusiasts so the "Jones" argument doesn't apply, why would anyone buy a newer bike, that costs more but has less power and is overly complex ?

You would have to wonder who would buy one.

I can see buying an off roader from new as a lot of them have been thoroughly abused and put back together from a dozen different sources etc, but against the competition done of the Honda range are insane. Still, I imagine it'd make sense in some market or they wouldn't make them.I like 90's cars and only buy newer ones due to rust issues, with that not being a problem on bikes, unless you need euro 4, why are people buying new bikes ?

I went on Wednesday. First time midweek and it was much nicer than the busy weekends. No freestyle show this year though? We went in saying we wouldn't go, but we weren't expecting it to be completely absent.
As for water, I always take a backpack with a few bottles of water in. Means I can stow a light jacket too.

Went again today and took the wife
really enjoyed the show. Got in early so a 7AM start was fun after a late night out with mates last night.
really enjoyed the show and for me the BMW future electric bike I though was amazing to look at

Went yesterday. We Got there about 11 and it was busy but not as chaotic as I’d imagined, by 14:30 it was noticeably quieter.
Really enjoyed the day, Lots of factory “cafe”
And “bobber” style bikes available now. I found all of the new litre sports bikes very wrist heavy this time around and my surprise of the day was how comfortable the V4 Tuono was, I wonder what they are like to live with.
I was Amazed to see Bennelli still trading.
Lots of cool electric bikes hitting the market, it was just a shame I never saw the Electric Kawasaki ninja though. Not even sure if it was there?!
I’m definitely Looking to buy a new adventure style bike in April now having sat on everything. For my roads and use these days an adventure bike makes the most sense.

Had a great day when I went. Being a tall/bit overweight chap, most of the sports bikes weren't for me but I was suprised with the Ducati Supersport - I could cope with that, it seemed lovely. Not a Panagile but not £20k either. Still £13.5k so it's not for me despite fitting on it quite well.
I quite liked some of the CCM bikes. Not cheap and I'd probably not want one as a main bike but I'd enjoy riding round on one on a lovely sunny day.
I was taken with the Suzuki GSX-SF which seems to be all I'm looking for in a bike. Decent deal with the £1k off and only 1.9% APR on a PCP deal, plus £500 of extras thrown in (although they are expensive extras!) I might find myself taking a test ride of this soon!.

If you're not bothered about age, you can pick up low mileage Supersports for 8 or 9k.I quite liked some of the CCM bikes. Not cheap and I'd probably not want one as a main bike but I'd enjoy riding round on one on a lovely sunny day.

This just popped up in an ad for me - a week's holiday in a decent-sounding villa, and 5 days to test a load of the latest adventure bikes: https://www.loveforride.com/black-friday?lang=enListed is the Duc Multistrada, 1250GS, KTM 1290 Adv, S1000XR and the Guzzi V85TT
I was very underwhelmed by the show TBH.
And yet again the parking costs are ridiculous.
The only bike that took my fancy was the BMW F900.
There was a rather cool looking CCM but £17k for a homemade bike is taking the mick.
The cynical side of me thinks that manufacturers have used PCP prices to divert attention from the fact that prices have gone mad.
Looks like I'll be hanging on to the CB a while longer.

Of they have. Its keeping prices high, if no pcps deals then they wouldnt sell nowhere near as many . Not sure on the % on bikes but 82% of new cars are pcp'sI went, it wasn't bad, it ticked the boxes I wanted for the day. Some of the stands were impressive and it wasn't too busy either so I got to see/sit on the bikes I was interested in.
I really think the new Street Triple will be my new bike, I loved the Ducati V2 but I am thinking it would be uncomfortable after an hour or so and for riding the mountain roads the Street would be ideal.
As others have said lots of cafe style bikes which I like the look of but not for me, and I would agree a lot were very expensive.

It's more the money, I was hoping for the low apr financing Might look in to that though, thanks I enjoyed my test ride on one.
