As others have said ACF-50 from new is the only way and no little squirt either, I paint mine on to the engine with a brush. I ride a Guzzi so if any bike is known for dodgy quality control then it's mine, never had an issue (barring the slightly wiffy smell at lights as it bakes dry)
Doesn't always work as often the corrosion on BMWs starts under the paint. It's the BMW factory build/paint process that's not good and needs correcting.

This was on my old bosses 2014 1200GS. Corrosion was pretty bad on that bike. It was washed regularly but the paint came off most parts.

The rocker cover issue above was semi self inflicted as he had protectors on there.

Wheels, engine (actual engine, not just rocker covers) gearbox and shaft drive were all replaced under warranty due to corrosion.
