Jorge Lorenzo..
Discussion
He's between a rock and a hard place, continue (if possible) with HRC and possibly have another year of running around at the back and potentially more injuries, or call it a day and take the money.
He was left in a similar situation when VR came back to Yamaha, and was in some way forced to jump ship to Ducati.
Saying that, rumour has it that Petrucci isn't safe in the factory team, JL could end up back there and Ducati would get him cheap given he hasn't performed all season, but I doubt that's an option in all honesty.
Zarco certainly looks tipped to fill the HRC seat given his two outings so far.

That doesn’t follow any logic. Rossi returned in 2013, Lorenzo went to Ducati in 2017 and he won the title in 2015, so hardly running at the back after Rossi’s return. He was left in a similar situation when VR came back to Yamaha, and was in some way forced to jump ship to Ducati.

My view. Lorenzo is a amazing rider. i'm not a fan of him personally.
But he's gone to one of the best teams and bikes in the past 5 plus years and even before his crash he did not gel with the bike. I doubt yamaha or Ducati will want him with all the new young talent coming through the ranks.
Does he want a satellite bike and "maybe" get into the top 5 or even 3.
I was thinking he may retire this year how things have not been going his way

What a great bloke, nice heartfelt conference.
Good luck to him with moving on.
Hopefully he'll be seen again in some team/mentor/manager/advisory role.

On his day and on a bike he trusted probably the fastest ever with metronomic pace regularity. Amazing to see each lap within fractions of the next.
Hope he finds happiness and fulfillment in whatever comes next.
