This beguine with an other “ugly duckling”,
A friend of mine wanted his first real bike, his max budget was 1500€
So I found this Speed Four at 500€ the bike had a small incidence with the tarmac so it wasn’t in nice looking at all.

The subframe was bent as a car had run in to it and the left main chassis beam had a dent.

Wheels had was suffering a horrible aluminium oxidation so I had to sand blast and paint them well

Ihave always like happy colourful bikes so I used a golden tone same as some Kawasaki uses at their forks as I think it’s stunning looking.

I reckon that frame dent might see it taken off the road over here, but I may be wrong. Have you just straightened the rear subframe or sourced something different?

Getting ready the subframe, As the new owner wanted a cheap and silence exhaust I used one from a Z1000

Does it still run right and cool properly without the snorkels?

Very nice job there, the paintwork looks fab. Loving the single seat and exhaust too.
I wish I had the skills and ideas to do this sort of thing.

IIRC these could be removed if you didn't like them, with running adjustments made through TuneECU to suit.
