Vinyl plotter cutters & software
Discussion
Im looking to see if someone can help with some advice for a vinyl cutter plotter. In the past we have been manually cutting vinyl to suit various orders for customers and as you can imagine it gets time consuming.
We will be using it with 610mm wide media to produce laptop lid decals, meaning we will get 2 lid decals across the width of the width of the vinyl.
Its simply to produce a shape mirroring the lid, there will be no printing onto the media etc
What is the best kind of machine and software to go for? There is nearly too much choice!

We use Corel draw it produces vector files that are ideal for cutting this type of thing from. It’s also quite simple to use.
With a Graphtech 9000 cutter. We cut from 1400 rolls as we need to produce large single masks, so not sure if these would be right for you, but ours is about 10 years old and has been great.
