2020 has potential for being quite exciting rider movement wise. So far the only confirmed seat in 2021 is Maverick Vinales sticking with Monster Yamaha which has just been announced today so the rest of the seats are all up for grabs! Silly season ahoy.

Interesting to see what Vinales deal means for Rossi as (bar him being a one season wonder..) you can't imagine Yamaha will want Quartararo slipping through their fingers and into the hands of Ducati or Honda.

I'll update the line ups as and when announced.

2. Pol Espargaro

MM93 is probably going to be the next seat confirmed; don't think Pol Espargaro is likely to move and I'd be surprised if KTM don't give BB another year. Rins is probably going to stay at Suzuki.

Rossi has said he’ll happily go to Petronas Yam if Fabio needs his place at main team.

Indeed, along with an announcement from Yamaha that should he wish to stay on the grid in 2021 either with Petronas or under the VR46 banner they will provide him a full factory bike, engineering support and contract, win / win for all as the old boy decides if he can still mix it at the level he wants .... if he does stop racing he will ambassador the sh** out fo the brand whilst building his post career legacy ... mans a machine and his next chapter awaits writing ...

Nice gesture from Yamaha.
As well as commercially exceptionally sharp, he is still an absolute money machine ... may need to try and slot a euro MGP in this year if its his last season in full factory colours ....

Good for Yamaha and Fabio, I never wanted this day to come but it's a changing of the guard for sure.

Could be Valencia this year Dibs, it is 10 years after all.

Yamaha aren't hanging about! eek What's left, let the old man work out whether he wants a seat or not, sign up Morbidelli and rebrand to VR46 Petronas SRT? There's an awful lot of effort going in to beating the HRC guys.

Ducati have lost a lot of choices, basically poach MM93 or recruit from within?

Don't forget Rossi might go for racing 4 wheels instead of 2.

I’m more interested in what KTM might do. It appears they are still focused, if one of the rookies looking to move up could be drafted and then they find a team mate to mentor them, contenders?

Or will they just remain as they are. Can’t see it.

Oliveira could be that KTM gap if he's still unsettled about BB leapfrogging him. Jorge Martin for me is the only standout Moto2 rider atm, although there are many very good riders. Pol Esp is well set unless someone starts beating him, BB and Lecuona will likely get rewarded for their expected good efforts by a second year.

Aprilia and Suzuki need second teams, I think Dorna should look at that for '21 onwards.

So whose coat is on the shoogliest peg (excepting Iannone ofc)? For me it's Petrux.

VR already has an interest in Moto 3 and Moto2.. Surely some sort of tie up with Petronas is on the cards would be a logical progression? Or even a 1 bike, VR46 team, running a Yamaha - It's what Rossi did when he started in 500s.

I can't see Dorna wanting him gone from the paddock entirely, as love him or hate him, he brings a very healthy fan base with him.. Yes, real fans will still watch for the racing, but having no VR could see a big drop in viewers and ticket sales..
