Reassembly time, at my desk in my office for maximum comfort and concentration.
stripped the bowls, jets etc and put them all through the sonic cleaner. Enamelled the carb tops to freshen them up. Then I opened up the refurb kit and divided up all the parts in to 4 pots, add the original parts being kept, and lay it all nicely ready to start.....

If you get the inclination take a look at the ignition set up if its carried over from when it was injected. It has a chance of being different to the carburated equivalent.
So you could chase your tail for a bit trying to get the fueling right and all the while its jumping to full advance to late or too early.

Any particular reason why?
'Cos they're JIS.....any other PH/PZ screwdrivers will just munch the screwheads up as steel screws are prone to seizing in the alloy carb bodies. When carbs are fitted without an air box they tend to be a bit wobbly as they are no longer being supported on the air intake side - obviously
Therefore, I made this little support strut which connects to the top frame rail using a bicycle front mech clamp and the top of the carb using a bent 6mm stainless rod threaded at the end.... works really well and eliminates all carb wobble...
