virago /vɪˈrɑːɡəʊ,vɪˈreɪɡəʊ/ - noun - a domineering, violent, or bad-tempered woman.

I used to work with someone who rode a 535 Virago. She loved it.

“Outlaw” and “strict rules” usually doesn't compute, bit ironic really.

Have to agree!

I know someone who is the

of a local MC and he has told me a lot about it. I've posted it all here before, I won't bother again, particularly as some jumped all over it and called b*ll*x, but I believe the guy completely, he's a friend although I have zero to do with the club (and wouldn't in any way at all want to). The things they have to do/not do, the rules they have to abide by and the overall control applied by the 81 make it extremely hard to imagine why anyone would want to put themselves through this. If he's wearing his patches he practically needs their permission to get his bike out of the garage.

Having read various stories/accounts /opinions ,of patched clubs in the UK , I would like to set the record straight . These clubs are bound by strict rules ,each member has a rank and job to do within the club . It is a well structured membership which relies on old school values such as loyalty honesty, integrity and commitment. I am a 59 year old ex site manager and belong to a club and can honestly say that there is no other club for me . My brothers are with me til the end DFFD
Seriously, who gives a single flying fk??

Grow up

I was in upstate NY at a lakeside hotel a few years ago. About 25 bikers turned up with their patches and potty-hats. Made several guests feel uncomfortable in the lobby and bar area while they were all checking in.

One of them had a teddy bear poking out of his pannier.

I've met a lot of people in my life.

The interesting ones don't try to tell you they're interesting.

Grow up and fk off.

Hi Steve, thanks for the post. Really like your chopper.

Which club do you belong to? Have you members under 50?

Random topic of the year lol

So Crazy steve....show us some pics of your bike please and tell us some outlaw stories pls
I really hate to be negative, but I can’t get excited about an 80’s Yamaha V-Twin ‘Hardly-Davidson’ copy, with a drum rear brake and a bad exhaust wrap. I can see you must have taken some time with your Autosol to polish your timing cover, but the whole thing doesn’t gel together. Is it a Rat Bike?

Must be quite a club.....

The whole "MCs are all controlled and only allowed by HA" schtick is just such bks, isn't it? "we're rebels but we have to ask someone thousands of miles away if we can sneeze". FFS.

LE-MC seems like more fun to me...

Crazy Steve earlier

Well, we wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do
And we wanna get loaded and we wanna have a good time
And that's what we're gonna do (away baby, let's go)
We're gonna have a good time, we're gonna have a party

For anyone that hasn't seen it before, this little bit of nostalgia from 1985 is well worth a watch

Not so long ago he dealt with a particular issue in a way which the local chapter didn't approve of, as a result of which he was summoned to appear in front of them and told that if he did that again they'd give him a proper kicking.

Seems like a fabulous way to enjoy biking!
