What bike is most tempting you?
Discussion
At the moment, I am saving all my spare cash in order to buy myself a new car. I rally need a new car as my current CLK is getting a bit long in the tooth and leggy. Plus, I am unfortunately still playing "Dad Taxi" and a 2 door coupe just isn't practical anymore. The parting shot of my fully grown 6' plus son, or his girlfriend ungraciously exiting my car is not something I would recommend!
The particular car I have set my heart on starts at about £13k for a good one. I am not far off my target, but....
There is a massive temptation to say bugger it and buy myself something mid eighties and two stroke. An NSR400 perhaps. In Rothmans colours.
My savings at the moment would by a very nice 350LC or something of that ilk.
I. Must. Not. Give. In. To. Temptation!
So what bike is very nearly causing you to blow your savings, despite it being a totally irrational purchase?

Two strokes are going for silly money these days, even battered ones. I've got a few in the garage I bought when I was about 15 and tempted to chuck them on eBay with no reserve... People have got to the age where they can afford their irrational mid-life crisis purchases Myself personally eyeing up a Street Triple, but my FZS600 does the job and is probably a quarter of the price, so being boring and saving for a house instead.
Absolutely itching to buy an Indian FTR1200 S.
So many reasons not to but also so much want. Savings not even an issue as I'd just HP/loan it. Tempted to sell my car too which would be an extra £5-6k in hand, but don't think I could part with the little thing despite not actually needing it.
Might go for it early next year....

Just gone 59 just done CBT quite fancy a new Honda monkey to Bomb about on going to do rest of tests next yr for a full license , used to have various 2 strokes 30+ yrs ago fsie ,X7 250 , kmx 125 .
Full licence will be hard to restrain myself theres so much choice nowadays ,obviously im getting on a bit and im not tall and no longer athletic so a panigale is a step too far but i cant help looking at 70s superbikes but theyre so expensive .

Life's too short to want but not buy, a decent reliable car can easily be had for 5 grand.
Buy a bike, enjoy it.
I've really set my heart on a CLS Shooting Brake and I already have a Bonneville.Buy a bike, enjoy it.
Once the Merc is sat on the drive then I will probably sell the Bonnie and get something I lusted after when I was a youth but couldn't afford to buy/insure.I've already worked my way through an '88 VFR, an '86 GPZ600 and a Transalp. I had posters of all these when I was younger.
Ive only just bought a Ducati 996 but my friend dropped off the original 1983 YPVS last week for me to have a fettle with before he sells it, it was built quite a few years back from all new genuine (and no longer available) Yamaha parts and hasnt turned a wheel since.
I would absolutely love it but he estimates its worth around 10-12k....to much for me.

None.
I'm very fortunate to have my dream garage right now, the only thing that would make it better would be a Desmo, but that's gonna have to wait a few years.
Currently have a Tiger 900 Rally Pro, KTM 300 XC-W TPI, RC51 SP2, and my Dad's old (97) Speed Triple. Couldn't ask for more TBH.

The latest Superduke is mighty appealling right now, but when did bikes get so expensive? my Z1000SX was £9.5k new, a Superduke is 16 Grand!
I'm also liking the Speed Twin an awful lot but I don't think it'll be any good as my only bike.
Bide your time! KTM always discount.ProbAbly get one for 12k or less at some point or another I'm also liking the Speed Twin an awful lot but I don't think it'll be any good as my only bike.
