One of the bike mags (BiKE I think) reviewed it and were very happy with it.

Must admit I've been looking at these as a sort of left field commuter. However they don't really make sense price wise up against something like the Husqvarna Svartpilen, which even in 701 size is good value. They are between 6-7k which seems a lot of money to be honest although I love the look of them.

I really like these. The quality looks superb, the 125 looks expensive next to the 250 and 500. The 250 looks pointless on face value, because for a few hundred quid more you can have double the capacity and if you have a full license why wouldn't you?

It's so nice to see 125's of decent quality because the Japs and Aprilia who once made awesome 125's, all look very much chinesey now. I'd also like to see an FB Mondial in the flesh because they also look nice for that segment and good value.

It'll be interesting to see how Fantic hold their value. I feel really tempted to go with a 500 scrambler (I fancy some sort of scrambler), and then think, for that money you could buy a low mileage Ducati Scrambler with a load more power. There was a lovely CCM Scrambler with no mileage up for 8k the other day. It sold instantly as you'd expect but that seemed particularly good value!

When I saw the title I thought it was going to be another discussion on 70s mopeds and jumped in to defend the honour of SS50s against nasty 2-stoke Italians. Was it not these things where although you could turn one pedal around through 180 degree so they both hung down they didn't actually lock and swung back and forth?

I had no idea Fantic still existed and had dug-up a name from the grave...

To me the 500 looks good value and the stuff ive read and looked at all point to the quality being top notch the 125 though looks a weee bit overpriced but i suppose if its well screwed together it might be worth it all the road tests on youtube love them i have been looking at hondas monkey and ktm 125 as well but i cant help going back to the caballero .

Very tempting...

They call it 500 but it’s actually 449cc (& 40hp). Have you ridden one Toma?

The 500 has had a couple of good reviews in Motorcycle Sport and Leisure. Might be on MoreBikes website now
