Does anyone know of a bike insurer that is all inhouse (e.g direct line for cars) rather than broker based?

In that they underwrite and manage claims themselves under one banner?

I had a bad experience last year with a claim from one of the bigger brokerages and ended up stuck and bounced between the broker, underwriter and the claims company.

Not a situation I'd like to repeat and worth a higher premium if necessary to get a more co-ordinated service.

In fairness I've found several times that a Broker - ie a proper broker not compare the market etc - can get far better deals and get better results in the event of a claim as the Insurer is dealing with someone with hundreds / thousands of policies.

Thanks - do you have a recommendation based on the above?

Unfortunately not, my specialist broker included any bike on my policy (for £30 !) but they don't deal in solely bikes nor with the public but obviously there are others that do.
