I don't think the small print of Pol's contract is going to matter one jot...
Not something to look forward to as far as I'm concerned.

DORNA had a total hard-on for the (Spanish!) Espargaro brothers when they were racing in different classes, when one was out on a fast qualifying lap they'd immediately cut to the other gurning brother on the pit wall.
Marc Marquez is well on his way to becoming the GOAT already. When he's racing it's "Marc this, Marc that".
Can you imagine the wall-to-wall coverage we'd be faced with if Alex starts doing well on a regular basis? Might as well change the name to MarquezGP and run a separate championship for the other non-spanish riders.
Can you imagine the circlejerk going on right now at Dorna at the prospect of both Marquezs in the same, spanish-sponsored, works Honda team?Marc Marquez is well on his way to becoming the GOAT already. When he's racing it's "Marc this, Marc that".

What qualifies as factory? Bradl, Marquez, Crutchlow and Nakagami are all on factory spec Hondas. So too are Petrucci, Dovisioso, Miller and Bagnaia with Ducati. Same with the 4 KTMs. Yamahas too? Factories have backed riders placed at satellite teams before with full support and current spec bikes. Whether this has been to get around a 2 bike limit or not.

Then there's the rumour that mm has a third operation so perhaps hrc are hedging there bets in case he's not back next year ?
You are right, despite having superhman abilities on the bike this injury will come back to haunt him. I am sure MM will be trashing everyone soon again but for me it's 'strike 1'. To be at his best he will need to be 100% fit, and I don't think he can be straight away? The value of him to HRC at this point must be really obvious and it's unlikely they will let him take any chances, in hindsight the early return he made was just ridiculous. But you can't tell anyone who races 'no'. It has made things more open, but more interesting, I don't think so. I miss what only MM can do on the bike.

That's what I was asking, so there can't be 3 Repsol Honda bikes for Pol, Alex and Marc in 2021.Edited by FourWheelDrift on Thursday 22 October 17:09

Right I’m confused, yes, yes I know that’s not hard
1. Why does anyone think there’s a break clause in Pol’s contract? Doesn’t matter what Repsol want whether true or not. What happened with Dovi at Repsol proof that a contract can’t just be broken. Repsol can of course choose to become headline sponsors of the LCR team too for Alex. However, if Pol’s contract states he’s in the factory HRC team then that’s where they have to run him.
2. What’s Livio Suppo got to do with all of this? He’s not part of the Honda set up anymore is he.
